Re: English Poker Camp!

Are you planning more camps in the next year? Sounds interesting, but I'm wondering how much your course would benefit me.

I've been an online pro for the last 5yrs. I've played a lot of NLHE 6max cash from 2/4 to 25/50 (0'5-09) and HU cash from 0.5/1 to 3/6 ('10-11). I have play quite a few online and live tournys, but compared to my cash experience I have very little live and tourny knowledge.

I'd like to work on my live cash and tourny game so I can go to some EPTs and WSOPs. Also I'd be interested in working on my PLO game. Is your course right for me?

We don't have any concrete plans for our next camp other than we would definately like to do another...

I think that we would be able to offer alot for your mtt game, both live and online. Ghettofab himself would better know what we could offer for your live cash games as he has far more experience than myself and Firaldo on that side of things.

I daresay that we will be looking more closely at our plans and options for future camps after the WSOP has finished and we will let you know as soon as we have something to tell

PizzicatoXev - WSOP has finished now. Have you guys planned any other camps as i'd fancy coming down?

Do you have any reviews on how your first camp went?

We don't have any plans for another camp as of yet but it still is something that we would like to do again if there is enough solid interest.

While the last camp went quite well it did end up in the $ loss column unfortunately and we would want to make sure that the next one ends up in the profit column

As far as reviews etc, I am sure that the camp participants will be willing to give positive feedback to help us towards the next camp

Positive variance ?

Congrats on your $215 win in May but apart from that most of your experience seems to be playing low stakes (ABI $12 on OPR). Do you think you will be able to coach for the higher buy-in MTTs ?

My average buyin is seriously diluted on OPR due to my earlier days of poker where I was mass tabling $2.20 180 mans. I played approximately 9500 of these which reflects in my headline OPR avg bi.

My actual lifetime scheduled MTT stats are a little closer to this...

(Spot the massive slacker over last few months)

That's misleading as most of these games will be low stakes (one $215 and nine $11 games averages at $31). You should filter by stake level, say > $60, so we can see your experience at the higher buy in levels.

Re: English Poker Camp!

Kind of interesting having this conversation given that we don't have any current plans for another camp and the fact that my capacity on the camp wasn't related to the higher buyins so much as there were 2 FAR more qualified coaches to talk about those stakes.

Nevertheless here is some slightly more filtered results for you...

That's a very small sample size for the higher buy-ins. Your one $215 win of $106,541 more than wipes out your entire profit at MTTs > $100 and almost all of your profit for MTTs > $50. I notice that you are currently playing mostly $1.10s to $11 games again.

David Randall is a well known coach from Poker pwnage/Pocket 5s abut he doesn't have any results after mid April. Is he based in the US ?

I accept that this is a sales pitch but you should be completely open with everyone.

At no point have I claimed to be a high stakes reg. I tend to be quite selective in the higher stakes tournaments I play and don't go balls to the wall for every tournament that just happens be running because its within my buyin range. The fact that I have been playing lower stakes recently is due to a combination of factors which at this time is none of your business.

David Randall is based in America and always has been, hence the lack of results post BF.

I think the insinuation that we have been less than open about everything to do with this camp is hugely unfair and pretty trollish.

You need to play thousands of games before you can be reasonably certain that you are beating the larger field mid/high stakes MTTs well. Neither you nor Firaldo87 have sufficient volume to be able to claim that you are very profitable at these. IMO it's probably too early to ask for £2000 for training. David Randall does have a good track record but I can't tell whether he's been playing online since April.

yeah, I'd be surprised if anyone coughed up £1000 nevermind £2k.

what do you bring to the table that a few sessions with a big name coach wouldn't?
