What's tradimo?

• it's a sister site to PokerStrategy.com
• it's a school & community for online trading

Why we created tradimo
We think that today, trading/finance has become more important for everyone. On the one hand, the Internet made the cost of trading shrink – and now "everyone" can do it. On the other hand, the financial crisis showed that there are few things you can rely on:
• Does my bank advisor really make the best recommendation?
• How do I prevent inflation from eating up my savings?
• Are state bonds safe, or will a government default?

We have prepared articles on the questions we got asked most often:
Why should I learn more about trading & finance?
How much time do I need to invest?
As a small-scale trader, how can I compete with the big banks?
How much money can a trader realistically earn?

What is tradimo's in the eyes of a poker player?

It’s a free school & community for online trading – a similar concept to PokerStrategy.com; there are many parallels between trading and poker. In both trading and poker, you aim to earn money in an environment where you need to strategically deal with incomplete information. In both, you need to continously work on your skills.

As there are different game types in poker, you can distinguish some largely different "trading styles":

• Do you just want to find a safe & smart way to invest your savings for the longer run?
• Do you want to be a more active trader? (Swing trader, day trader)
• What do you trade with: Stocks & index funds? Bonds? Forex/currencies? Commodities?

Poker carries with it skill sets that can in parts be transferred directly to trading:

• Money management, also known as bankroll management in poker.
• Psychology, for example tilt control and the right attitude.

One thing that is fortunately different to poker is that in trading, it makes sense to practice with play money. Many brokers offer you the chance to open a free demo account. On such an account, you trade with the real data, and can gather experience and test strategies without risking any money.
