I thought that's what I did too? Like Skip's, my villains were passive and 100BB's deep.

Re: Rate my play

I don't think there's really all that wrong with your play (pre-flop; post-flop, you butchered it) except the size of your raise. If you're exploiting the table like Skip did, then great.

I just hate making such a big raise with a so-so hand because you then will feel the need to bet out on the flop or even the turn when you don't really have much, just because the size of the pot is so big now. Before you know it, you've sunk $120 into a hand that didn't warrant it.

In a big pot, it's just more likely you're going to be playing for stacks if you flop a great draw against something decent from the other guy. If you raise smaller - or limp - you'll probably be able to draw for a lot less.

That's my only point. Pre-flop raising 4 limpers with T7 is not +EV unless they are four very bad, passive players who will fold a lot to you post flop. Even then, it's more spewage than anything else. But I've done worse.

But as long as you're doing something like once a session only and not making a habit out of it, no big deal.

Re: Rate my play

i would just limp along pre. raising pre is spew, long-term at 1/2 live.

as played, BET THAT TURN. perfect card to bluff at, once you check the turn theres no way im putting you on an Ace.

anywho, looks like it worked this time. nice bluff, if it was a bluff* could very well have had 67...

i do like that you had the balls to bet that river. i just think the preflop raise wasn't really a GOOD raise, but it worked out for you this time.
