Re: Play a 35 hand session and post results....

Interesting experiment - do we count hands that are limp-fold preflop or
In which we fold Pre for any reason (3!, fold to squeeze, etc)?

B/c I'll post my list tomorrow but pretty sure it will be 1-28: l/f, 29-30: ????, profit

Hands that are limp/folded pre-flop, do not count.

If you raise pre-flop, then are 3bet, definitely count those.

Also, do not count any SB you complete or BB unless you CALL A RAISE w your holding.

Definitely interested to see types of hands you play because I respect all your input as a poster...!!!!!

LOL this is great. OP, great exercise, I'm going to do it next time I'm playing. However, I'm not sure given how card-dead I'm running if I'll get 30 playable hands in 5 hours.

Re: Play a 35 hand session and post results....

i noticed you raised out the SB/BB with a bunch of limpers ahead of you and i think this is absolutely pointless and i dont get what you are trying to accomplish. especially after you did it the first time with q7 i dont get if youre trying to establish an image or what because you got a buncha callers so now you know the threshold you need to raise to get 1-2 callers when you happen to get a premium in the blinds. but you still did it again with a8 from the bb. SB-UTG+1 should be played very very very tight even if you are super laggy. ive learned this over time that it may be a little more boring at times but it has been proven time and time again that being OOP is not profitable in the long run.

Actually as simple as it sounds, this is gold!

Re: Play a 35 hand session and post results....

00 - AQ limped UTG, limps 5 ways to flop, AKT I b/all-fold ($10)
0 - TT call 6 pre OOP against tight-weak, flop top set, c/c, bet blank turn fold ($15)
1 - J9ss in BB, weak-tight opens 10 UTG, folds to me call, flop 453 one spade, I c/c 15, turn deuce spade I fire 22 V folds JJ ($50)
2 - 75ss vs (? Hi pp) 443hh, c-c, bet 4 turn IP V folds ($12ish)
3 - call 89ss against 12 UTG, fold OTF
4 - doublebarrel gutter 43o on dry uncoord texture (T62r)

sort of lost patience after this, was quite revealing in terms of my own VPIP and potential FPS leaks like hand 1 and preflop mistakes like not 3! TT vs weak tight

Why did you limp A/Q UTG?

If you make it $12/get 2 callers there, that's $24 extra you win in most cases.

Nice float on hand 1.....

What happened on hand 4? How did you get in the hand with 43o???

The reason why I did it in this session was because I had a tight image. I was not calling many pre-flop raises that were over $7 and the table had took notice that the lady and I were the tightest players. So, when I saw a bunch of limpers and I was in the BB or SB I'd just start salivating because I know if I don't raise I'll never win all the limpers money. I would not make such moves if I had a loose/losing image.. I agree that would be completely lighting money on fire.

Opening AQo UTG is pretty severe RIO, this was about as nice a flop texture as I could expect. I can bloat post, if need, otherwise playing pre raised pots OOP prob -EV long term.

43o was limped to me in BB.

Going to try to get some more data at the end of the week...

It won't be hard to remember hand details of the big hands.....

Most my notes would look like this...

MP 9/9 called $12 raise, 4 way pot, missed and SD (-$12)
UTG A/K I raise $15, 3 callers, CBET and win (+$45)

S.D.= SHUT DOWN

Then when you get home and are entering the data to your computer you can expand on the hands a little bit more...
