Fairly loose table with a couple new players as the villains. No real read on any of them except that V2 got involved in a limped pot from a blind and raised a flop bet, bet turn and bet river and was called down by A6 and the 6 played vs. his A4 on a A-2-3-7-8 board.

I have $1500 in front and easily cover all. Villians all have around $400-500 in front.

I raise to $25 UTG and V1 (older guy) and V2 (guy in his 30s) both call from the cutoff and button respectively. The BB calls too (no read as he also was newer to the table but seemed active in the few hands he played- flop hungry in a few orbits - obviously calling wide with the coupon in the BB and 2 other callers.

There is $100 in the pot preflop. Flop is:

KJ7

BB checks and I decide not to cbet into 3 others here. V1 and V2 both check.

Turn is A again not a great card. BB checks and I do too and once again V1 and V2 check.

River is K BB open mucks, I check, V1 checks and now V2 throws out $50. I decide theres no way I can be good here and fold. V1 actually calls.

Can anyone justify a call OTR? I mean V2 saw 11 freaking checks from after the flop to the river. Can he be stabbing here?

How about betting the flop or turns? I couldn't see a reason to bet the turn but question my check on the flop.

Thoughts?

I likely call here.
He can easily stab here with JX/TT type hands.
Sometimes he has a weaker King or just a mubsy King, but I think it's a good call overall.

I'm never checking the flop because I have a full of **** image at every table that I play at and will get 1 - 3 streets from TT- normally, but if you have a reasonable image I think checking hte flop is just fine as it allows people to call with a wider range on later streets. Obv the A is the nut worst turn card for getting loose calls, so checking the turn can be fine.

I'm probably calling here a chunk of the time. King on the river pulls a lot of Kx combos from his range. V2 showed much more aggression when he hit his Ace before, so I could see an argument for removing some Ax type hands from his range as well. It's also possible he learned his lesson from the last hand and decided to slow down with his A2 this time.

When we play a hand so passively post flop we keep both Vs ranges very wide, so I think there can be several hands we beat here. V2 is definitely stabbing here a percentage of the time. We saw him overplay his Ace rag before, he could be very laggy and spewy in general.

I'm not sure we can push V2 off of much with a raise here, but we have moderate show down value so it may be worth considering.

Overall I don't think the fold is terrible especially without reads, but I could maybe justify a call.

You have to be good 20% of the time to break even on a call. V1s range is capped at Ax and you block AQ. V2 has shown to overplay hands and bet three streets with weak top pair. So his value hands should really be only Kx, maybe a weak ace. I think u can make a crying call but a fold is not terrible either

$35 pre if you're getting 3 calls a lot. If $35 folds out everyone, stick to $25

Thanks all - V1 tabled 97 off on a J-K-7-A-K board and V2 who called mucked! LOL. Nice play I guess by V1....
