So, I was fortunate enough to flop two of these suckers in just two days recently. Wondering about decision points on each. FWIW light 3-bet are non-existent at these tables

#1 --

Few limps, H BU $18 w/ J8dd, MP (unknown MABG $110) limp calls, CO (Taggish MAWG $575 calls).

Pot:$60
Flop 9dTd4s checks to H $40, MP calls, CO c/r $100, H?

#2 -- UTG+1 (MAWG loose passivish $235) open $10, EP call, H ($340) call w/JTdd, LP (TAG $450) call, LP ($300 call).

Pot $50
Flop KdQd3c UTG+1 $40, EP fold, H?

FWIW, H debated 3! in hand #2, but decided to flat.

First hand, is the 9d in your hand or on the flop? I'm guessing the flop was the Jd? In this case, I'd flat and call or check the turn if you don't hit, and hopefully set up a big raise on the river if you make the straight or flush.

Second hand, what did you have?

I'd raise commit both. Short enough that FE is worth more than later street playability. Winning the pot right there is worth a lot in these SPRs.

I'd consider raising what you'd think about raising if you had flopped mid/bottom set in both scenarios, especially in #1 where you have an overcard, and weigh it against the likely hood you feel each opponent has two-pair or better. And, I'd make a decision on the table. Your equity goes way down if they do have two-pair or a set because of redraws.

What's your stack in hand one? Is the $575 effective?

CO's play seems really FPSy. $60 more in to $180 (1/3 pot bet) on this board seems kinda nonsensical. Does he view you as a 100% c-bettor in this spot? If so, maybe he's trying to ISO MP on the cheap? In any case, I cram it in. Most of his range here has to hate that, and the part that doesn't (sets and 2-pair), you're almost flipping against. Actually, you're pretty much flipping against the bigger draws, too.

Hand 2, IDK if we have much/any FE against a LP that has raised pre and c-bet near pot. How LP is he? Will he pay with TPTK off if we hit the most obvious draws? Does he have give up on a scary board if you float? Usually, I'd still be looking to use FE here, and would raise about pot. If I did flat, I'd be looking to jam if anyone raised. Shoving right now is just too much of an overbet, imo.

Hand 1 - Yeah, $575 eff. I really mumped up my original post. My bad all.

Hand two - he's your typical MAWG rec. Also plays a lot of tournaments. Will value bet in standard spots. He's prob trying to get to showdown if scare cards come assuming he has value.

Hand 1 : This feels awkward. CO's raise doesn't rep much to me, but I don't know if it really matters. MP has called off half his stack, and I can't imagine him going anywhere very often. I think either calling or making it like 350 is alright, but would likely default to a call since we don't particularly benefit from fold equity against CO (since MP is likely calling off), we will often get a decent price (just look at that c/r size) or even a free shot to see the river card, and the pot is super bloated that we can easily win a pretty big bet or even stacks when we hit.

Hand 2 : The fact you considered 3betting a loose passivish guy's UTG1 raise is concerning. I think raising/shipping flop might just be getting the money in kind of spewy tbh. Villain's line so far screams a strong top pair/overpair or even a set of QQ, and we are only ~31.5% against a range of {AA, QQ, AK} on flop. I'm not in the business of bluffing passive players that have shown strong interest in the hand, even with a monster draw. Start with a call.
