It says $9.00 per month and I wasn't able to download new podcasts after the month expired.

Or perhaps I am too dumb to navigate through the maze that is his podcast website...

Wouldn't mind a pm as I realize this is a bit OT
Its well worth the 10 bucks. CLP is nice because it is video format. He goes over some hands, reiterates key concepts, and its just extra learning material.

I really gotta give Bart a lot of credit. He is the single person who has helped me improve the most as a poker player to the point where I now feel very comfortable at mid-stakes live cash (5/10 and 10/20). His podcast is just absolute gold - there are something like 100 free episodes and paying 10 a month for Deuce Plays premium is a gigantic bargain.

Best episodes are IMO:
- limon
- citizen james (because they talk cash game concepts)
- shane rose
- "live no limit leaks pt1/pt2"
- rbk
- hands from a cash game episodes.
- bet sizing/ turn play/ check-raising...

So if there's three 1/3 NL tables going in your room, and you're killing it at one table and up to 1.2K in chips, all you have to do to "pocket" your profit is to table change to one of the other 1/3 NL tables that has a maximum stack of $300? I wonder if that's a standard rule? Seems weird to me. Our room when you transfer tables within the same stakes you must take all your chips (allowing to top up to the maximum BI if desired), but you can never "pocket" any profit just by switching tables.

Ha, I could see people doing multiple "hit and runs" simply by switching tables!

Most places don't let you hit and run like that

my room has the same rule as GG. I agree that allowing people to chip down when changing tables allows hit and runs.

I don't know how standard it is, but it's the rule at Commerce and The Bike. And yes, people do use it to hit-n-run. It's terrible.

You can do this at Parx as well, I was actually doing it.

I would win about 200 and table change because the game either changed and people were nitting it up or table lost the fish.

It's amazing that I have a winrate of 16/hr at 1/2 over like 300hrs and my winrate is less at 2/5 over 220hrs.

I spewed so much at the beginning it sucks. ugh.

Probably been asked a million times but I'm thinking 1k hours is a legit sample for determining hourly winrate at a given stake? I also play only on sunday/monday/tuesday which is obviously a tight reg filled game mostly so that kills my winrate also.

It's not. I ran at least twice a sustainable hourly rate over more than 1000 hours. Plus, at least where I play, the games I play in now compared to the games I was playing in 1000 hours ago (even at the same stakes) are significantly different.

Obv a healthy winrate over that stretch of time suggests that you're a winner though.

You need 1 or 2 100-200 hour breakeven stretches in your sample for a more true winrate.

Wow.... Variance live is even more brutal then I thought I guess.

I can picture two or 3 1500$ pots I lost with ~80% equity that would bump my hourly up probably close to 10$ so I guess that makes sense.

I need to play more saturdays too

playing at nights is definitely the best decision you can make, but sundays/mondays are always the worst games

agreed. i don't really play weeknights though. thing is that in europe, where i am doing grad school/work, the casino/poker room is only open from 8pm - 4am so there isn't even the ability to play during the day.

good thing my work is sitting at a computer, making software modeling seem a lot harder that it is, and browsing 2p2 lol.

For bragging purposes only
absolutely two sessions. anytime you switch to different stakes you should treat it as a new session for record keeping purposes. thought if i just switch from one 1-2 table to another it's the same session.

a couple of weeks back i was at the casino and got sat at the 2/5 must move. i play two hands and then the floor comes over to inform me that they accidentally skipped the person ahead of me on the list but they have a 1/2 seat for me while i wait. ok cool, whatever. ten minutes later and a seat opens back up at 2/5 and i move back. i recorded this as three separate sessions in my log.

Here in LA if you already played a hand, the floorman cannot move you.

% winning sessions is a pointless and irrelevant stat that people care too much about.

Its a function of your session length. If you're a winning player and you grind out short sessions, you're going to have a much lower win% session wise than a solid player who plays monster long sessions even if they have the same hourly.

%winning sessions tell next to nothing about a player.
