I haven't played enough 2/5. Losing that first buy in that first night, and then running really bad in the second session (booked a small win) made me realize that I wasn't really mentally prepared to lose all three buy ins, if that's the way the variance had led. So I went back to 1/2 until I had replaced the lost buy in.

Wednesday I booked a solid $800 win on my first day back at 2/5. So I'm up a buy in after a whopping 3 sessions, lol. Gonna play again tonight.

He's repping a really narrow range. Like 3x and full houses. Anyway, friggin weird hand.

I was running terrible in 4PLO on Merge and then ran great at 2/5 when I sucked out in a 1.6k pot so I figure the poker gods are being kind to me.

but what you need to take into account is what Bart Hanson talks about all the time in his podcast - that a fish's river betting range is POLARIZED. I think if this Fish-Station actually had any Jx hand (as in TOP PAIR) he would not lead river for 500. He would check (with intention of calling).

So when he bets, its either air... or a hand better than TP. Which means that once the fish BETS the action of raising with QQ-AA does not gain value because we can expect the fish to fold air and call/re-raise with the monsters.


This hand is bat-**** out of the ordinary because the fish bet AK (probably wanting the "pro" to fold). It would boggle my mind if he was consciously value-betting AK. Once he got raised ... he just called because thats what he does... and was good. lol.

Nah my parents are very very religious people. I am just a very analytical person and if it can't be measured/analyzed then it is basically pointless. Religion is a tool used by the powerful to control the weak and it tends to be a huge sequence of logical fallacies.

Fwiw if anybody wants to have their mind blown watch "The Bible Unearthed" on youtube. It is a BBC documentary about modern archaeological findings of the origins of Judaisim and the Israeli state.

Basically the cliffs notes is that the Jewish religion was created by a king named Josiah who merged 3 separate tribal stories together with a strong anti-Egyptian message (the story of Exodus and how their God would save them) to whip up national ferver for a war with Egypt since Judea was sandwiched between two extremely powerful kingdoms (Egypt and Assyriah)
