Especially the midwest,lmao.
If you wouldn't WAY prefer to play with bad aggressive players, you aren't very good at poker OR aren't sufficiently rolled for the games.

Well I'm not properly rolled. I live off my bankroll and I play low stakes. I would love to have 30k+ roll. I think that's sufficient for a 2/5 pro. My bankroll is currently 15k but I also pay bills out of it or anything else I want/need.

I wouldn't want to play anywhere else in the country. But talking bout what we prefer and what is reality is two different things.

When you have guys shoving/over betting/raising flush draws polarized with sets and 2pair+ it becomes a problem. Everyone wants to be a lag in LA. Getting lucky is what they do.

Are you referring to the $1500 5/10 game?

No I'm talking about comm/hg 300$ game and being a live pro with no other source of income.
04-11-2012 , 09:41 PM
That's what, 2/5 with $5 drop? How many tables?
04-11-2012 , 09:42 PM
Its 3/5 with 5 drop.
04-11-2012 , 09:43 PM
$300 flat BI? How many tables?
04-11-2012 , 09:44 PM
9+ tables always going at comm/hg.
04-11-2012 , 09:47 PM
200 max at the comm, if you lose your first buyin you can buy back for 300$. At hg its a 300$ max buy.
04-11-2012 , 09:50 PM
Uncle tony g is out, he tried to bluff the guy who bluffed him. Lmao the guy who bluffed him had AK. Bye bye Uncle G.

Sounds like the game can easily be beaten for 10BB or more...

15k even as life roll is more than enough.
04-11-2012 , 10:02 PM
I don't think a good sample size you can beat it for 50$ an hour. My first 1k hours I was at 55$. But people are not dropping 4/5 buyins like they used too. You have to dodge a lot of cards. I always get it in ahead but I get sucked out a lot. Last year I was at almost 30$ an hour.

I was more aggressive with combo draws my first year trying to play like the masses. I stop doing that guys just don't fold in LA. I want to make it to 5/10 but the variance is too high for me right now.

I'm going to take 5k in June to shot take at 5/10 it didn't work out last time. Even though I'm a winner at 5/10. I was up 18k my first weekend. But the second weekend I lost 8k.
04-11-2012 , 10:04 PM
Why are you shot taking 5/10 when you can't crush 10+ tables of 3/5 at 10bb/hr?
04-11-2012 , 10:05 PM
OMG Phil lakk just got paid off by aces when he flopped a straight.

Its not enough money on the table to consistently beat 3/5 for 50 an hour.

For the most part you will have 2/3 deepstacks and the rest are short. The deep stacks are usually good players. A lot of hit and runners in LA.

i dont want to be results oriented but i dont see how you could ever call laak there with aces

If you table change you can only come in for 200 at the comm or 300 at hg. I would love to table change with my whole stack.

Can anyone post the AA Laak hand history? Just tuned in now, sounds like a cool hand.
04-11-2012 , 10:30 PM
I don't remember the action I caught the all in otr. Flop was 9 7 6, 10 x, Phil moved all in for 25k otr with 108, AA.
04-11-2012 , 10:30 PM
Gonna multi table watching this poker game with the canucks game... ballin' out of control
04-11-2012 , 10:34 PM
@SeeULater if I had to pick a good number for 300 game for winrate due to avg stack size crushing is 30$ an hour.

Just like 200$ game is 20$ an hour, 2/5 500$ game 50$ an hour, 5/10 100$ and 10/20 200$ an hour.

HH for the LaaK hand
$200 straddle on board
Someone opens for $800, Laak calls, Someone calls, Villain raises to like $2800 w/ AA, PFR folds, Laak calls T8s, 1 fold
Flop is 976 (1 club)
Villain checks, Laak bets a decent size, Villain calls
Turn is a T
check, Laak bets like 2/3 pot, Villain calls
River is a 2
checks, Laak ships 36K into 30K, Villain calls
