I thought about taking MCAT for fun as I did with LSAT, but umm...no.

Damn that sucks ike, getting sick is no bueno.

Dude do yourself a favor and if you don't get into Med school just start applying for jobs. Hit up school job fairs and such and try to get a 9-5 and some place you enjoy. Fwiw my GPA was absolute trash in college due to too much degenerate gambling and partying.

I was recently rejected for the masters program at the university I work at in engineering (oh the irony) but part time students who weren't stellar aren't exactly the top priority for a crowded program. However, you live and learn and have to accept how you got in the situation you are in and figure out the best way out.

heh yeah mcat requires a ton more outside knowledge. It's a weird test frankly.

So finally Tony G is going to enter the game. Can't believe this is going to go for 48 hours straight.

Wanna bet that my GPA was crappier? Wait...why am I proud of such fact?
04-11-2012 , 05:42 PM
My gpa was good in college my first year, lmao. Second year dropped out, lol.
04-11-2012 , 05:44 PM
Dude, everyone had good GPA the first year.

Pokah, if you are thinking about getting a job I highly highly suggest looking into learning a trade. You can do a trade school for like a year and I think in cali the ride is free.

Yeah my dad has been trying to get me in this class at LA trade tech, so he can get me into DWP. The money is good, 150k, but I don't want to work in the electricity field. Very dangerous job, but it seems like my only option. Some people actually die.
04-11-2012 , 05:53 PM
Haha yeah I would suggest not being a line man if you are working in high voltage areas. Go to the local community college websites and look for courses and post them ITT and people will help you narrow them down to areas that look like you can actually lock up a job after college.

Male nurse.
04-11-2012 , 05:56 PM
My buddy is a male nurse, works 3 12 hour shifts and pulls in like 72k a year
04-11-2012 , 05:57 PM
and with his schedule he can easily get 8 day vacations with out taking any time off, sick life
04-11-2012 , 05:57 PM
Yeah its climbing poles, my dad started out doing that before he finally graduated. He said if I want to make money he can get me in once I take the class and pass the test with a 90%. Should be easy since he has all the answers to the test.

But I'm just not sure I want to do that. All I need is a decent job that is not hard, that can pay rent and child support. Then I can grind poker until I can quit a job.
04-11-2012 , 05:58 PM
It sounded like I was mocking it, but I actually kind of would like to be a male nurse.

Pokah, you need an attitude adjustment foremost I think.

How?

Prosecutor Corey of Martin case reminds me of LaGuerta in Dexter.

Depends on what kind of tough your game is. A table of nits playing only the pairs and broadways may be tough to get money out of even if they have no real postflop skill

Yeah a tough game is not a table full of nits. To me a tough table is a bunch of lags and tags who 3bet.

And that actually sounds like my preferred game, provided that I am properly rolled.

Lots of action often mean lots of leaks, and they're easy to spot when everyone are so active.

Heard a story about a young internet kid who came to commerce and raped the 10/20 games. Usually the 10/20 game are pretty nitty with the old man coffee types.

Young lag, came in, triple barrel/bluffing/merging every hand he played. Killed those games for a few months.

Um, yeah. Of course, that might be why I said the rivalry was better 5-10 years ago.

Carr didn't leave you in that big of a mess, imo. You had plenty of talent for the right coach. RR was a terrible hire. Had a nice do over with Hoke though.
