And Blumstein is running like Jewish Jesus. Bad combo
07-23-2017 , 03:00 AM
imo Ott should be folding pre heads up a lot more with his bad hands. Blumstein hasn't folded to his 3 at all and Ott doesn't have the minerals to play multi street bluffs. He should just lay the bad hands down and play his bluffs in position

Yes ott needed to fold the bottom of his range and start limping with the middle/some hands to limp raise. I'd be fine limping 100% if blum was bent on aggrotarding.

Loved the new format, most poker I've watched in years.

I liked it too. Also enjoyed having live stuff on pokergo.

They both sucked but Blumstein seems way more hateable.

Went from +550bb to -150bb lol Good thing it's just 1/2. Also probably the worst session I have played in a long time. Made multiple river mistakes super deep. Spots where yeah I'm gonna lose money on the hand no matter what but betting/calling on the end is never right :/
07-23-2017 , 05:50 AM
Blumsteins call with the 1010 for basically his tournament life though on like 3-4-9 8-A board, in like the last 4 tables or something was freaking amazing though.

So much money on the line, so much pressure and he goes into the basement and find the call on the river. That got my respect, even though i sure understand why people think he is punchable and hateable.

Is there somewhere with a digest of interesting hhs from the main because I have no idea what anyone is referencing

Hate to say it but Koreans were the least friendly people when I went to Korea... to the point of being dicks in several situations. Pretty big contrast to all of the Koreans I've met outside of Korea who are for the most part super friendly.
this may sound ****ed up but the more korean/things about korean culture i learned the less i wanted to learn the language. so once i was able to order food to my apartment and have basic convos with people/flirt with chicks (which took me like 3 months) i stopped trying to learn. it is also acceptable in korean culture to lie which drives/drove me nuts.

living there was cool it was a good experience when i was just out of college. i wouldn't want to do it as a career at all though and i never planned on it being one. i spent a summer after my first year of law school working at samsung in an office it was hell.

i know very little japanese and french (basically enough to order food/drinks and ask for directions) but when i visited japan and quebec people were always really friendly to me after i said a few phrases. this was definitely not the case in korea. my ex-gf told me about this concept: https://koreaexpose.com/korea-thy-name-is-hell-joseon/ and a lot other ex-pats (always female) expressed similar views. at the same time they were all very embracing of the values they claimed to hate about korea.

Dont worry DK, youre still one of my 2+2 heroes!

gotta give props to blumfuck for infiltrating ott with the most ridiculous trolling/(coaching) of all time

I am watching the Overwatch World Cup match between Australia and Japan and twitchchat is being spammed with racist/sexist/anti-japanese memes in Korean. It is incredibly disgusting and toxic and not something I am happy that I understand about 10% of it. It actually got so banned they banned Korean chat (but no other languages).
07-23-2017 , 06:46 AM
The anti-japanese sentiment is really something else. Even with their history I don't understand the hatred in 2017.

Or is it still about that small island?
07-23-2017 , 07:31 AM
Japs hate the Koreans too. I have a friend who has a Japanese friend. Friend married a woman who is 1/8 Korean and he has been excommunicated- family ****ing hates the wife
07-23-2017 , 07:32 AM
Must say I've done business with Koreans and found them to be unreasonably tough. Just all about the win/lose style of negotiation and really don't respect or like the whitey at all

Been drinking?

Underground game last night. I play 120 BB stack and raise it up from early pos to 8 BB with QQ and the 2 BB UTG straddle is on.

3 calls in between before its on the older donkamentplayer who makes his very first 3 bet for the night from the straddle. He makes it 32 BB to go. Ive just played with him once before so i am handcuffed when it comes to reads/ranging him. He doesent play cash that often, but when he does he plays pretty tight/passive. So that info is something i guess.

Are we ever not going with our queens here with the dead money from 3 callers in between+ fact its a straddled pot?
07-23-2017 , 07:53 AM
I would shove if I think there's much chance at all that he's doing something silly with his straddle

Just dont think folding QQ here is much of an option at all vs a raising butting straddle at these stacks. Had exactly this situation in Vegas last month at the Wynn and crammed it in and V rivered an A with his AK
07-23-2017 , 07:58 AM
Yep I'm shoving too and expecting to need to rebuy a good amount of the time.

2/5

BTN Hero is running like the absolute sun and sitting on 1 million dollars. (Villain doesnt know about sun run, just sat and sees millions)

HJ Villain is young asian that seems pretty good a tad tight stations alot and is usually right. I think he thinks v highly of himself (from prior history) and certainly has it in him to do whatever. Sat down with $1400 30 mins ago hero hasnt played a hand in that time, villain has raised a few with no contestation.

Folds to villain in HJ who $20, hero $70 with AK otb, villain calls without much hesitation. (Should be $80-$90 i think)

Flop ($140) 544

Villain checks
Hero $90
Villain quickly $300
Hero thinks 10 secs calls

Turn ($740) 544 J

Villain $600 leaving about $400 behind?

At what point should i be folding this hand?

I also check flop at a dec. freq fwiw.
