Even though we're pretty much married and have been that way for quite a few years, we're making it official. Early October down at city hall. No engagement rings, just matching wedding bands.

Cheers pen!!
Congratulations!

Thinking about betting about 30 times more on Mayweather than I've ever bet on a sporting event tomorrow.

Anyone want to talk me out of it?

I rarely bet sports but have a few hundred on Mayweather (half outright at 1.25, half on Mayweather by KO/TKO/DQ at 1.83).

Can't believe it's not printing money.

I think that corresponds to -400, which seems available online a couple places I can't really make a serous wager.

Vegas consensus seems to currently be -475 (1.21). I think that's probably good enough because the true odds are something super crazy.

The only problem is losing that kind of $ would hurt much more than winning would help, but I'd honestly feel kind of silly not putting a serious wager on it...

It's 1.3 (-333 in your silly American odds I think) on one book online in the UK now.

On the eve of the last presidential election, I thought a HRC win was as sure of a thing as any. I remember looking at state polls in Michigan and Wisconsin and Trump wasn't winning even one over the last 30-40 polls and Hillary's average margin was +5 . On the eve of the election, her average margin on national polls was around 4 points. According to 538, it HRC had an 85% of winning the election. So I bet a nifty sum.

But as Leicester also taught us last year, freak events do happen, and another did.

All in all, if you can afford to lose what you re going to bet, go ahead. But if it's going to sting a lot if you do, lower the wager.

Do it!

I tried to set up a new online account to do the same but failed.

I never bet sports and dropped a huge bet on mayweather.

Also I think if you're thinking HRC had more than a 66% chance to win you're likely injecting your own personal biases into it.

I bet on trump to win because sports books had that line wrong as well imo.

Read an article that 15/16 bets in Vegas are on McGregor. Astounding to me, people betting with their hearts as opposed to their brain.

I'm laying around 10k on this fight because the true line is like -3000.

If Mayweather lays down I will destroy whatever television I'm watching this on.

Baseball bat to center mass is the most fulfilling tilt release of all time, or so I've heard

I only know the cliffs but I don't get why anyone would bet on the other guy?

like how is the line anywhere close to what is it right now

1. Dumb whitey really wants to see that uppity negro get his black ass kicked and sees 6-1 or whatever and thinks that's good value in a 'two horse race'

2. Irish always gon Irish

People hate Mayweather because he beats women and acts like an *******.
08-22-2017 , 10:14 AM
And yeah ^ people are racist af too.
08-22-2017 , 10:19 AM
I'm going to guess that racism is playing a very minor role in this.
08-22-2017 , 10:24 AM
Mayweather would still be a complete a****** if he was colored purple
08-22-2017 , 10:36 AM
The Great White Hype.

Good movie.
08-22-2017 , 10:54 AM
People like betting on the white guy. Whether you want to call that racism or some form of nationalism is your call.

A big part of it is MMA slappies, too. The line is clearly very off. Just a matter of how much of my family's savings to put on it.
