Re: Posting Coolers and Bad Beats

The content is kinda a suggestion, but the intended audience is less for me than other posters, so I'm going with the chat thread. Sorry if it seems rude to ask and then ignore you; I just arrived at this opinion now.

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***

Just as important as posting losing hands, posting hands where you win but maybe made several questionable plays can be very helpful yourself as well as to others. Peeps in most forums on 2+2 always like to post hands where they ended up losing. Post some hands where you win but played ???

Hehe, that is almost always right but a guy who is one of the top 5 worst players I have played with limp reraised with A6o against my raise and 3-4 callers on Monday. I called and then folded my TT on a Q65 flop and the villain won the hand when he was called on the flop and turn by a draw which missed.

Its worth noting that he had limped UTG+1 with KK about 30 minutes before and spiked a K on the flop to bust UTG's AA. Because of that I was basically calling his small raise (1/2 game, I made it 12 he made it 25 so 13 to win 70+) to set-mine with effective stacks of $300 or so.

Edit: another funny story from that game, Tagfish 1 young guy limps UTG in a straddle pot, random old guy limps UTG+2 with 90~ behind , Tagfish 2 young guy in the SB makes it $20 with $350~ behind, UTG shoves for $600+, old guy snap calls, SB folds.

Tagfish 1 Limp-shoved 175~ bb effective with 99
Old guy has KK

AHAHAHahahahahahohohehehehahaha.

Its funny because of this. I folded, but I spent a good 30 seconds trying to level myself into shoving before reason prevailed.

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***

Ha, I've actually taken up this line of limp/reraising big hands like AA, even after multiple limpers if there's a retardo still to act that almost always raises big to try to steal the pot.

Last week there was a guy who 3 times during the session had straddled and then re-raised big (like putting in $100+) if people only called the straddle. I was just itching to casually call the straddle with a big AA/KK here and trap but never got the chance. Another guy had the habit of putting his whole stack in preflop (like $200+) vs only a couple of limpers, I mean, ha!, it was only a matter of time but unfortunately my time ran out...

Last night there's a maniac BB who I just know is gonna raise if there's no preflop aggression so I actually resort to limping AA after like 3 or 4 limpers (I know, I know, I'm pretty sure that's horrible, but my read man, my read!). LOL, the button beats him to the punch and raises before him and gets 4 callers; no one calls my 3bet and I take down a $100 pot uncontested.

I've taken this line more than once. At these stakes, the table conditions can happen to make it a huge +EV play often enough. But I still love to make fun of the weak tight regulars who just do it for all the wrong reasons.

jt0, I hope you saw what your comment about poker player roommates did in the B&M LC thread.

Of course I did! I just didn't want to muddy it up with comments in between.

I was waiting on someone to say something about home networks lag issues while 27-tabling or something.

B&M forum.

I did the "come home at 3am" which obv online players don't do because they don't go outside.

You do understand how contrary to human nature this is, though, yes? When I make bad decisions that work out OK, I want to stay at the casino and gamble rather than posting on 2+2. When I make dubious/possibly OK decisions that turn out horribly, I want to leave the casino ASAP and get to my computer to ask 2+2 how I played the hand.

However, I will try to do this more....

My HOC just arrived in the mail here at work like two seconds ago, woo-hoo! I think I'm gonna spend the rest of the work day goofing off and reading it instead of goofing off and doing something else.

Opinions on HOC?
