not to be nit-picky, but it's spelled Scot.
the meaning of the phrase comes from the fact that the Scots refused to pay taxes to the crown.
a 'scot' in Blacks law dictionary means 'a tax'.

both side of my family are scottish to the core, and ive traced my fathers side back to 1650, and beyond.
so I had to correct your spelling.

A Scotsman manages the laundromat where I launder. He complained that on St Patty's day all the girls thought he was faking his accent because it doesn't sound Irish.

It's actually funny how your ability to understand accents declines with age. I could understand the Scots on the British comedies when I was in high school but now only get @75% of what Jamie says.

One of the best UFC fights ever. Two guys with swag, Jon Jones might go down in history as one of the best to ever do it. I don't see anyone beating his style 6'4 grappler.

I don't follow UFC too often, but the one fight I've really been wanting to see for years is Nick Diaz vs GSP. ****ing shame that GSP ****ed up his knee and then Nick tested for marijuana (and has been considering retirement for the last little while). It would be a shame if this fight never comes through.

I get QQ vs a guy with a $350 stack who's probably tilting. He has QQ and we chop.

I get another QQ vs another guy who limp-reraises. I jam for his stack. He calls. He has QQ and we chop...

I raise JTo in MP. Flop comes 9-8-7 r. I get it in for $700 vs a guy. He also has JT and we chop...

I then get AA vs a massive calling station. He has the other AA and we chop...
