Today I'm going to go play at 6. See how things are. If it works out ill go at 6 every friday.
My only problem with going at 10 is. Its either hit or miss. A lot of times the tables start breaking at 11/12. Then you have to go to a whole new game. Then I pick up some crap hand like AKs on the first or second hand and get stacked by the tightest player at the table(if I knew, lol).

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***
I like to start my weekend sessions around 8ish. It's usually late enough that the bad players are settled in and getting liquored up, but not late enough for them to start leaving for a few hours. And as long as they stay, I stay.
Last night I left as soon as the biggest fish left for good. He spewed about $1k on the table in an hour at 1/2. His last buy in he actually bought in for $500 by hiding 4 greens and a black in one of his stacks. No one said anything, and by the time I noticed, he was just finishing punting off his stack to another player and he snuck the black ($100) into his pocket while they were counting down after the cards were exposed.
Last week I stayed until 6am because I had 3 uberfish at my table and I couldn't get a single damn hand against them. I finally got AKs, jammed 100 bbs pre, all 3 called. Board came down QJ887, after a few seconds of showdown dancing, I announced ace high and they all mucked.

imo u r missing alot of value. The tables between 3-7am on Saturday mornings are super juicy with a lot of guys who are stuck and steaming and others who have luckboxed their way into a big stack and are calling 15bb opens very wide.

I think allowing black chips ($100) in a red chips ($5) game has little purpose other than allowing rat holing and other similar angle shoots to take place.
For example, I saw this really bad player short-stacking the 3/5 game with around $250, $150 in red and one black.
He was palming/holding the black chip most of the time, and occasionally put the chip down on top of his stack.
I can notify the floor, but that's essentially accusing a guy who's not necessarily angling, and put myself in a peculiar situation.
So what do I do? Make a habit to always ask for a chip count? Then of course I often get scolded as if I am asking my opponent for his wife's number.

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***
Black chips definitely allows for some angle shooting. I don't get why they are used and why cash plays.
Was playing at Venetian last year or the year before and I had about 600 in 100s and and 300 in red chips in front of me. I raised a10s from mp and flopped a flush draw. Villain c/r me from bb to about 110 making the pot 250ish. On the turn I hit the nut flush but it paired the board and villain shoved. I tanked for awhile then ended up calling. He saw my hand and mucked, then after the dealer scooted all his chips over villain muttered "wow I didn't know cash plays"
Oops accidental angle!

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***
In my casino the live hours are 10pm to 3am, they stop serving at 1:45am. It's also between November to April because the snowbirds are in Arizona. Now I've found good games at 2pm on a Tuesday but it's a different type of passive bad player.
contrast that with what we were saying Wednesday about other markets. I will never play cash for meaningful money in Las Vegas on a weekday when the sun is still shining. play a donkament if you're bored.

Easy, 5 stacks of greens = $2500.
Anyhow, my point was that in a game where most stacks are hovering less than $1000, having blacks is unnecessary.
