This is going to sound results oriented, but Im going to call a decent % of the time to such an overjam, because his hand looks like what it is and to a novice player, the best ways in their mind to play semibluffs and get them to fold is to go huge, rather then set up a turn shove.

Similar hand...

2/5 in a straddled pot (10). A plethora of limpers, I raise to 70 with ATo. Only get called by one hand, a slightly tilted reg who plays ok but is prone to spazz and call raises OOP too often but will raise preflop with most "good" hands. Effective stacks are around 480 preflop.

FLOP: JTx rainbow

He checks, I think for a bit and check.

TURN: 9 brings a spade draw.

He jams 410 into around 200. I think for a bit and call. I lose to a 10 outer.

If I had 88 in that spot I'd happily semi-bluff C/R... Only thing is I'd just size the C/R about 550... which leaves me a 950 shove OTT

Seems like an arguement for not raising unless they fold easily post flop. When you raise you will be ahead of their ranges but be oop in a multiway pot.

lol yea that's the dilemma, I get those annoying hands ATo, KJo, in the BB and everybody limps and those donkeys will limp call any amount, then will donk or c/c with any pairs...it's almost a nightmare in terms of variance and in terms of me trying to play poker...feels like a ***** tournament in there...
