very true. i was getting called for 5.5x when it was $1/$2 and getting folds for same value at $1/$2/$4 ... i even laughed and said the same thing to the rest of the table.

no one thinks of the fact the straddle changes the dynamic of a hand. they just say, 'well my hand isn't worth $22.'

I hear that cash games are real good during large tournament events. I'm thinking about going to Tunica during the WPO. The 1st tournament starts on Friday, July 20th and runs through August 6th.

Is there a better time than others to go for cash games, ie early, middle, late?

Firstly, it is always best to get there the first like thursday thru the weekend when people are flush with cash

Secondly it is really hard to cost justify traveling for poker

I live fairly close, so not much cost if I can get the room for a decent rate. Plus, my wife is wanting to get away for a few days, so I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Calling with KJo is terrible there... I'd fold, if you think the guy is re-stealing just 4bet smallish and fold if 5bet.

as played, take the free card... i doubt he's just checking to fold.
