Ehhh it might have gotten one more fold pre-flop by raising more, say 75, but I think 50 is ok.

The flop seems standard and sizing seems ok to me.

Against solid opponents and thinking players, I would be more prone to take the line of bet, bet, c/c or c/f. They will float the flop with a wider range and will be a little stickier. The main thing to discern is if your read was correct or not. If you trust your read, then your line is ok. That's what it really comes down to on this hand. How much faith do you have in your read of the villain?

His read is important, but not as important as what his opponent thinks of him in this particular hand. I can't believe no one has mentioned this. Your raise pre obviously looked like a steal, then you c bet the flop. Villain is going to be sticky in this situation with all pocket pairs because of your line. V could easily have 10 10 -99- or something similar in this situation. Your check on the turn is very weak and he decided to use his image in a great spot. In these situations you need to think more about what v thinks of you than what you think of him. If he had been folding for three hours straight I promise you he would not be ready to give up 10 10 that easy on this dry of a flop. You obviously have a very wide range in this hand and v is using this against you perfectly.
V will have a set occasionally but I'd say in this exact spot he doesn't. You are just putting v on such a narrow range when in reality he could do this with a lot of hands because of what he thinks of you.
