Most hotels have a 24 hour cancelation policy. It's silly to not do this. Maybe Vegas during wsop is different but they have to have a policy in place you could easily find out

Now that we've got a solid plan on dates, I'm thinking we should do dinner reservations Friday night. I'm down for whatever, but thinking maybe Asian would be a nice change of pace? Lotus of Siam, Kabuto....I dunno.
