I would stay at the V if I wasn't bringing the wife and I could chop with someone, but that ish is expensive (for me). It would cut into my poker. I'm fairly certain I will be at Harrahs which is 2 minute walk to the V.

I am sure I will swap and sell shares to whatever tourney I play in. I'm waiting to see the schedule first. Oh and I haz Hendon Mob, bip! doesn't. Boom!

Like what would the price of the V be versus Harrah's?
07-30-2013 , 12:03 AM
Harrahs prolly half or more less than V.
07-30-2013 , 12:07 AM

Going to be turning 21 in april 2014 so hopefully I can meet some of my LLSNL heros in vegas and maybe bink a tourney. What would you say a standard spending budget will consist of?

After flight and hotel you basically just need $100 minimum a day to survive out there (food and drink). You just gotta determine how much you want to bring to play poker with and if you wanna set aside more for entertainment/nightlife/rhino

Count me in since I live there.

I'm probably going to stay a week. Waiting for the schedule to determine which week.
07-30-2013 , 11:01 AM
3 nights n 4 days or 4 nights and 5 days, either or. Waiting for scheduled week to be determined so I can start deal shopping etc etc. I'm probably not going to do the milly maker but definitely gonna grind some cash and maybe a smaller donkement

any chance we can get discount room rates if we all stay at same hotel?

also $100 minimum a day for food and drinks seems kinda high...never been so maybe someone else can confirm deny?

Depends how well you want to eat.

You could try surviving on $3 hotdog+beer specials I guess.
07-30-2013 , 06:32 PM
Yeah $100 a day is assuming you don't want to eat the same crap fast food every day that's available where you live already. When I go on vacation I was to eat stuff I can't get where I live.

off the top of my head (it's been two years since I've gone): virtually all poker rooms have an automated rewards tracking system where they swipe your player's card and then you get $1-$3 per hour towards food/whatever.

Most buffets were $20-$25 when I went, they could have gone up since then.

And I believe drinks are free at poker tables.

Caesar's new buffet is a must and that's like $45 for dinner.
07-30-2013 , 07:13 PM
when I said most I should have said the cheap ones, I'm sure there are actually a lot of finer buffets.

I'm not going to spend my time working deals on hotels. If someone else wants to, go for it. I would wait to do that until everything is set in stone.

You can eat on $20/day but you won't be eating steak and lobster.
