Re: Live Deep 98 spot

Something to think about, OP: you thinking the villain was concerned with your turn call and seeming nervous on the river might have actually just been signs that he was relaxed. I see this misunderstanding a lot; people think Player X is acting nervous, when in fact Player X is just relaxed enough to give away various facial movements and looks of concern, whereas if Player X was actually nervous, he'd be completely stoic and not giving any outward signs of concern. (For instance, if this player had QK and decided to bluff-checkraise you on the turn, for instance, would he really be giving off the same symptoms of concern that you noticed? Maybe he would; but that's not common in my experience.)

Something to think about anyway. It's definitely something that's player-specific and something you can try to correlate as you observe a player throughout a session. He folded in this case, which is really weak, so maybe he was actually concerned on the turn, but I can't imagine most players with top two pair on the turn being actually concerned. But this guy could be a very anxious dude.

As played I don't like just calling ott b/c anyone that doesn't suck is calling any river bet now..so gL and if u bluffed/donk bet river and won then congrats; u prob just won against someone that got held back a grade for the first 6 yrs of their formal edu. Re: Live Deep 98 spot

I think there are a few bet sizing issues in this hand which have pretty much been acknowledged already. I think you need to make it more PF, I think there were 2 limpers in front and you made it 8, I think I would've made it at least 12 here but w/e not a huge deal. As already stated the turn bet is incredibly too small and does nothing other than bloat the pot slightly for the times that you hit, as I have a hard time seeing anyone folding a value hand to this turn sizing. I really don't like bluffing this river because it's a total blank and you are repping pretty much nothing. The only possible value hands you could ever have are A2 or 67s, and thats such a remotely narrow part of your range. I'm super snapping river with AJ here, and most villains that I typically encounter at these stakes are also never folding top pair+ here(more for I haz top pair reasons rather than you are repping nothing reasons, but still). I am completely flabbergasted that villain folded top 2 here, thats above and beyond being a bad nit and just scared money, his turn sizing was god awful on the turn too btw, wouldn't even categorize him as a nit, just a fish.
