From the Hustler Casino 5/5 300-1K NL cash game last night:

Hero opens MP for $20 with 4-4. Cut-off and Button call. Somewhat tilting SB shoves for $190. BB flat calls!?! with $500+ behind.

Hero has $600 and no clue.

Both CO and Button cover and are loose enough to come along if I do but will likely fold otherwise (just my guess/read on the situation as they had been pretty stationy all night).

How do you range both sb and bb here?

TIA!

Why no clue lol? What about snap folding?

SB is pretty wide but doing great against you. Conservatively, he probably has 88+, AJ+, ATs+ and KQs. He has you crushed or he's flipping.

BB is very narrow. TT+, AK, AQs.

Why do you want to go up against these ranges? Even if you manage to drag in CO and/or BN, you're not getting any where near set mining odds. You're thinking about calling but it's a shove or fold spot and I'd shove maybe 1% of the time.

You only put in $20. Let it go.

Doing anything but folding here is lighting money on fire. Even vs. two wide ranges you're not in great shape (~30% equity).

Thanks for the response, but I wasn't asking what to do. I folded as soon as it was my turn to act. I was far more interested in getting some clue on what range ships $200 into $60 AND what flat calls that with 3 large stacks behind.

I think BB should have iso'd with most of the range you gave.

Understood. You said you had no clue and you made it sound like you wanted to call and have CO and BN come along so that's why I wrote what I wrote.

Agreed that BB should iso most of that range, but not many players understand that play/concept. And oftentimes that flat call will be specifically AA/KK hoping to draw in others.

I don't think you should be shocked that SB shoves here a decent amount of the time with his stack if he's playing the hand.

A pot sized raise here would be $110, and I personally typically raise a little more than pot when 3! out of position. Do you expect him to make it $150..? He only has $200.Given this is 5/5, he could actually be shoving a range that's a little wider than you'd expect. I wouldn't be shocked if he was shoving any pair + KJs+ ATo+ to try to double up or collect dead money. It's actually a pretty good spot to do so. I agree with the BB's posted calling range. We should continue with JJ+, AQs+, and 4! or fold, given $600 starting.
