1/3 No limit

Hero UTG+1 $315 KK
Villian High Jack $270

UTG limps and raise to $18
I get called in 4 spots blinds fold

Pot $94

The flop comes K 10 5 rainbow

I lead for 40 HJ call quickly the rest fold

turn an off suit 7

Do I check or do I bet? I feel like if I check and he bets it should be for a check raise to reassume the betting lead as well as size up for river shove and to avoid a check: check on the river if I did a check call on the turn. Also with 3 players behind him to act he is not calling with out having some piece of the flop.

I think betting is good to get one more street of value but it does not allow enough time to get the money all in by the river with the likelihood of getting called by a top pair hand.

Bigger flop KT5r still draws, not much bigger than $40.

I'd go like $55

Turn is a bet.

$75-95

I don't want to go to the flop 5ways for a small percentage of our stack while setting up an SPR where it will be difficult to do anything other than stack off and yet offering 4 opponents 21+ implied odds to do so. So I either raise larger or overlimp to reraise.

Flop bailed us out. SPR is 3. If flop was slightly drier (and not containing the OESD) we could probably just lean towards 3 smallish bets to get stacks in easy by river. With the OESD out there, I'd probably just lean towards getting this over by the turn. I'd actually PSB the flop (as there is no difference in calling frequency between a 3/4 PSB and a PSB), but anything in that range is probably fine, setting up a turn shove.

Looks like we're going the 3 street route. I would bet again in order to setup the river shove; checking to give a free card to the OESD (which is a large part of his flop continuing range) is pretty bad, imo.

ETA: Overall, I think we miss value with our monsters by betting them smallish on the flop, which is a street people will continue with the loosest (especially versus draws which will never fold the flop). Although I guess you could argue that we start losing hands like Tx as our bets move from 1/2 PSB to full PSB, but then it starts getting pretty opponent dependent.

It's going to be hard for villain to call another bet on the turn/river with anything other than the case K or a set, maybe QJ. You might as well swing for the fences and go for max value. Bet again.
