Its hard to raise a solid 3xbb when $6 is 10% of your stack ($60). Most of the players are so bad I can wind up a winner - but coming up with somewhat consistent bet-sizing is hard. If your too tight the blinds will eat you up in a second. If your too loose you will commit yourself in poor spots. Any Advice?

Oh, my bankroll is very healthy - but I don't like taking out more than one bullet if i can avoid it... and i wish an overbuy was alowed, but you can only buy in for 60 at this particular game.

I play in Southern California where the 40bb (or less) is the typical buyin at 1/2. I raise for a lot more than 3x (like maybe 5 - 8 x) to isolate with a tighter opening range. Play tight and play for stacks when you have a monster. And don't bluff if you don't have a good table image. I will continue to top off my stack in $20 increments until I reach my buyin limit for the night.

With 30bb, your ability to play small pairs and suited connectors becomes moot. Your range will now only consist of hands capable of making big pairs (AJ+, KQ, and KJ in LP) and big pocket pairs (99+). Be prepared to shove a board that you think does not hit your opponent's range.

Taking "one bullet" to the casino for this game is silly imo.

It is indeed a game that takes away the skill edge from the good player and reduces the ability to outplay an opponent post-flop though pot control and the recognition of implied odds in deep situations.

Agreed. But this is very typical for the low stakes Southern California game. 1/1 or 1/2, $40 max, 1/3 $80 max, 2/2 $100 max, etc. What makes it tough is sitting down at a 2/2 game with a $100 buy in where everyone else has a $1K stack. It bites to only be able to get it in with $100......

I can't imagine ever taking one bullet to the casino - but I have been capable of using one bullet to build my stack. The advice is basically how I've played it, but it often leads to loosing two stacks before you can get yourself a decent 100bb stack. It becomes incredibly tough to fold a hand like TPTK, and the advantage in reading opponents becomes less and less.

Its unlikely I'm folding TPTK with a 30bb stack anyway.

Anyway, it seems like there's really no reason to play these cash games because the advantage of a skilled opponent is almost non-existent.
