What's cool about this, so far, is that I am not picking and choosing which hands to respond to; the ones where I think I know the answer. I'm forcing myself to respond to hands in which I am not sure I have the right answer.
It's also encouraging when my responses to those "tough" hands fall in line with answers that others have given.
I try & do this already but good thread to remind me as I too think this is one of the more optimal ways to improve.
Read the OP
Respond with your thought process
&
Than read others replies.
I've def been guilty if doing that in the wrong order and letting another posters advice sway me one way or another without being thorough and putting my own thought process into words.
You WANT people to find flaws in your thought process and i think outside of seeking coaching this is one of the best ways to do it.
for those who subscribe to liveatthebike or crushlivepoker another method/approach which I think is somewhat similar and belongs in this thread is say your watching latb (preferably ones with bart commentary/play or even better combo of bart & dave) is to try and analyze hands while your watching , or at least tell yourself what your gut instinct action is as soon as possible and see how it matches up to bart's commentary or you can pick a player that has been introduced as good and pay special attention to any pots there involved in and try and think what you would do in there spot and see how it matches up with what they do along with the commentary. ive been trying this a lot lately.
this is a 5:22 a.m. ramblethon so hopefully that makes some kind of sense.
