I have been sitting down for only 30 minutes at a live game. Two seats to my right and three seats to my left are super-aggressive loose players. One I've seen go all-in, but then again AA has been shown three times since I sat down, so the aggression doesn't seem too out of place. I think the two very aggressive LAGs are trying to make expensive flops and push people out of them.

I am UTG in 1/2, and everyone has ~$200. A super-aggressive is on the button.

I figure someone else is going to raise, so I just call.

UTG+2 (LAG, very aggressive) raises to $12. Folds to Button, who calls. I raise to $40. UTG+2 folds, Button calls.

Pot: $90.
Flop: J 8 3

I check, figuring the Button will push. Button bets $25. I go all-in (~$150). Button stops and thinks for a long time before folding.

Did I make the right play? Should I have done this differently? Why?

I do think, in hindsight, the check on the flop was a mistake if he had something along the lines of AJ.

Cbet flop you're never folding anyway so why give him a chance to check back.

Preflop is good at these types of tables. Just c-bet flop. Check/raising is fancy play. Board is wettish, and there are lots of bluff catchers and draws in his range .

You l/rr him preflop, you absolutely HAVE to cbet this flop. If you want to take advantage of his aggression, make your bet in the 40 dollar range.

lol the old limp/re-raise, then check/raise the flop play!

Might as well tell the whole table your hand...

3-betting pre, then checking an under drawy flop is not a solid strat. Bet/call ~$60: a) you have an overpair: b) draws are present, and c) you will have committed 1/2 of your stack.

While you may categorize the opponents as "Aggressive", make note of when and where. They may play agg pre, but tighten post. They may also play agg in position, less so oop. Also, ask for a seat change button, get to the V's left. Nh.

Flop is very spastic.

Pre is probably OK (it worked, didn't it) and you're obviously aware of your reads on the table here, but it should not be your standard. If the table is so hyper aggressive, and you're first to act, if you raise you would get 3-bet plenty, as well.

Betting the flop is so much better.

You have $160 left in a pot of $90. You can bet small here and shove all turns. A check/shove gets villain to fold all worse hands.

Bet flop $45. Turn is $180 if you're called, and you'll have $115 left. Ship ship.
