I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to organize a process for a rec player to study their game. I only play once or twice a month, but I'll be honest here, and say I try my best to at least track my play. I will take these points, and use the voice recorder to make notes on hands. A year from now, if I have 200hr of live play, I'd be surprised, but I'll do whatever I can.
Cheers!

Hey guys, thanks for doing this. It's great work.

I started this last night. Just to get in the groove, I only recorded AQ-AA. Got about 15 hands in the category in 8 hours, so it was a busy and profitable first night. Will add the rest of the categories from the low volume regimen in a day or two.

Then again I haven't seen a set since god knows when, so who knows...
How did this end up going for the remainder of your recording time? I've seen similar trends so far.

Guys, I misinterpreted the iso stuff. I've only been recording hands where I am iso'ing limpers because I want to target those specific players. I haven't been recording hands where I have a value hand and would have raised no matter what. I will change this going forward, but should this change how I analyze the data I've acquired so far?

One more thing. I saw your recommendations for players who play less often. But how many hands would you recommend in a category of study before starting to put stock in a trend?

Moreover, we're likely to come out ahead regardless when it comes to premium hands--how can I see what value I may be leaking with premiums? Any trends anyone has noticed in their own data?

TBH I stopped recording minute details about when I'm cold calling vs isoing. Like you I have a specific reason why I'm isoing or cold calling.

Live play is so much more psychological so ranges and actions can be way different than in a standard online game.
