I like to train the table to be comfortable with bigger raises. I start with 15 + 2 per raiser (though I'll vary on what I'm trying to accomplish with the raise). If everyone folds to that size, I'll reduce until I get callers, but once people are calling 12 + 2 per raiser (or whatever I have to go down to), I start increasing it. V's get grumpy constantly having to fold to my too-big raises, so they start being willing to call bigger ones. In extreme cases, there is no limit to this. I once played someone that would call any PFR or RR up to 95 (19BB). (Yes, I really was able to determine that 100 got folds while 95 never did). Of course, he smashed every flop with junk and I got my ass handed to me, but that's not the point.
