Re: AK TPTK facing flop minraise

It is 1/2 yeesh
I like leading river. Pretty gross if he shoves but I guess you gotta fold if he does, though I don't think he is shoving very often ever.
Obv call as played

Where I play a flop min raise is usually TPWK. A min raise on the turn is 2p+ most of the time, and it's usually more than 2 pair. This could be a location thing though.

Re: AK TPTK facing flop minraise

WTF, "this is the midwest, so his flop raise likely isn't two pair..." is that really the logic that people choose to use when playing poker?
If you are raising AK and planning on flopping top pair and folding to a raise, I don't see the point in raising AK here.

I like leading for 65-75 OTR I think we are in b/f mode here. If villain has a flush I would be surprised...min raise semi bluff on the club draw??? I think he has a weaker ace and he was trying to see where he's at. If he had AT or TT here I think he bets the turn. If he does have you crushed with those hands his check on the turn screams he's afraid of the flush. 65-75 works nicely as a blocker to a weak flush or set and is a good value bet for your TPTK

c/c or c/f seems a better line in this case vs a passive player.Even a very loose player would think twice about calling our river bet on flush board in this bloated pot. Also, we are exposed to aggressive villian's river bluff if we make a relatively small blocking bet.
