1-2 NL (300max buy-in) at a casino I've never played at. Effective stacks are around $550. Table is juicy--when I sat down there were like 3 people under $150, but everyone else had over $600. Game was almost playing like a 2-5 with the way preflop went. Quite a few 3! and there were basically no limped pots. Pretty sure everyone at the table knows each other except me and one other guy.

Hero ($550) small blind: Probably viewed as TAG. Been prettt card dead, but was doubled up from V1 earlier in the game when I 3! The shoved a 9-9-10 flop with A J. V1 called with 4-4 and I hit J on river. I've folded twice to V1 as well--once when he 4 bet my KQ, and once when he c/r me big on a flop I c-bet.

V1 ($600) MP:Super drunk and super spewy. Raises almost every hand pre flop, and calls almost every 3! Huge range---opened $20 earlier, two guys pushed after and he called and took down the pot with 9-2 off. He's stuck foe well over $2000 at this point--he's borrowed $1000 from one of his friends at the table and $600 from another friend. I think he spent $1500 of his own as well.

V2 ($300): Pretty nifty but seems alright. Been stuck since I've sat down. MAWG.

V3 ($300): Older white guy that that's even nittier than V3. Call/Call/Fold is is normal line and is only calling post flop with huge hand.

OTTH

Folds to V1. Makes it $25 (pretty standard for him) V2 and V3 call on his immediate left. Button folds, I have Ad Qd in SB and raise to $75. V1 raises me to $200, V2 and V3 fold.

Hero ???

Fold ainec
If you are willing to play for 250+bb with AQs then go for it.
There is going to be not that many flops that you hit that you are happy to get your money in on the flop
Hit an Ace and could be behind AK
Hit a Q behind over pairs
Yeah he could be playing you but sometimes even the maniac donkeys get Ace's

Taking a flop is not really an option imo. He's not folding once he puts in 200 so it's either a shove or fold and, with given description, this is pretty close imo. It's probably either neutral/slightly -EV or massively +EV depending on how tilted/drunk this guy is. It's hard to imagine him dumping 8 buyins by having strong ranges in spots like this. If you're rolled for the game and feel like gambling it up it can't be much of a mistake, if at all.

Bigger 3!. Bombs away. Villain always calls. You're shoving $475 to win $675 and only need 40% equity. You have that even against a ridiculously tight range for this player of TT+/AK.

Thanks for the feedback. In my mind, his range was so big that I was thinking at worst it's coin flip, with low chance of QQ+ AK. And like someone said earlier, just calling has me shoving pretty much any flop regardless.

I shoved, he insta calls. Turn a Q and take down the pot.

He flips AK and starts asking friends for another $300.

He was way stronger than I anticipated, but his perceived range was so big I don't know how I play it another way or find a fold button.

I did the exact same thing against a huge action player who was raising and 3betting light pre. I raised, he 3bet, I shoved w/ AQ, he called. I turned a Q and he mucked.

Well done!
