Re: AA Flops a set 1/2NL

How do you suggest posting them from now on? Should I put continuations of the hand history in a spoiler or should I just wait until I get responses.

If you read the sticky you'll find some great guidelines for making good OP's.

I think it's best to post the action of the hand up to the point in question.

Then post the results later in the thread after the discussion is over and you've given everyone time to respond. Sometimes it's not even important to post results ever.

Valuebet, valuebet, valuebet. Getting stacks in is nice, but if he has an A he's paying off 3 streets, especially if he's bad. Pray he pairs his hole card, too.

Re: AA Flops a set 1/2NL

You're overthinking this.

This is an easy flop shove. After the flop is minraised (meaning he usually lovesssssssss his hand) and with the pot this big, he usually calls. This time he didn't, but in the long term shoving the flop is the right play. FWIW you still won a reasonably big 1/2 NL pot for a hand that didn't go to showdown.

He likely had a completely naked Ace, like A4 suited etc, and was testing the waters with the minraise. Usually this won't be the case.

You also can't "tank" for five seconds.
