50NL 10.9 cc Line Check

Just wondering how my line is here.

8-10 handed. Forget how many people exactly were seated at the time.

I am on the button with 109 with about $200
Effective stacks $100

I think UTG limped, there was a call, and then the hijack raised to $4. I thought about 3 betting but decided to flat instead. 2 other callers.

Flop ($16.75)

J83

It is checked to me and I bet $6. I wanted to keep the pot small as I knew I was never really far behind and I could stack off either of the weak players on a good turn card. Nevertheless, only the good player called.

Turn ($28.75)paired the board, 8 I dont think this improves his hand and he checks. I put him on Jx,Ax, Kx...

I bet $15 still trying to control the pot figuring I could value bet the river or raise his bet on a favorable card.

River ($58.75)

blank. something like a 6.

He checked... And I blurt out check. FML

I think I should have bet again. Something like $28-35

Thoughts?

Exact opposite of my thoughts.

In complete hindsight should have just barreled $12; $30; shove

But more looking at river bet as played...

flop and turn sizing is horrible. you should be trying to get all the money in so put as much money in as possible

river depends on villain. can he ever lay down TP? if not, i probably just underbluff to get him off better flush draws or something like 99.

Thinking back...

Would have liked a 3bet (nobody would 4 bet me i dont think without QQ+)

Or as played barrel three streets and get it in as fast as possible for others effective stacks

i hate pre, I'll assume you think you have an advantage over these guys so find ur balls and 3 bet pre or fold

you are likely coin flipping with the table so why keep it small, your advantage comes from fold equity

as for river, if you really think he is decent he will likely notice everything missed and be more likely to call, that being said you may still be able to get him to fold, but I don't bet this river without a solid read
