It is higher stakes. This game is not your typical 2-5. More like 5-10

I agree it comes down to the read also. If I'm in villains position I am only calling with KK, AA, and occasionally begrudgingly folding KK dependent upon read of course. Then again I'm never 4-betting at 2/5 and below (anymore) without KK, AA. I have in the past and it didn't work out well., live and learn lol.

Also, we may only need 50% folds but imo we never get that percentage. Imo v will have AA,KK, 90% of the time.
This hand just happens to be the 10% he didn't imo.(hence results oriented)

This is very, very, far from standard at 2/5, I don't know where you play but if this is standard you should be playing 24 hours a day.

Regular 2-5 at my casino allows a buyin of 100-500
The deepstack 2-5 allows 500-2000

There is no 5-10 that runs regularly otherwise, so all the 5-10 players gravitate there (and 10-25 when theres no 10-25 running)

It is not unusual to see stacks ranging from $1000 to $6000 and sometimes more

Well in that case I could be wrong. That is a very aggressive min and max for 2/5. I still think in the long run a shove is -EV, I just don't think you are ever getting 50% folds. My reg 2/5 game is 200-1000 or up to the biggest stack, wouldn't think it plays that much different. I could be wrong as I'm basing my thoughts from my reg game. Gl either way op
