V is a middle aged man entering about 75% of pots. He might open fold, but if someone raises before him, he goes in almost always. He's a decent handreader and plays well post flop. He loves getting into leveling wars with others. Showdowns are usually good, but has his share of bluffs. He plays draws aggressively, especially HU. I've played with him for about 3.25 hrs. At first thought he was a super-lagtard post flop, but later began giving respect to his post flop play.

V sees me as being tight and conservative as I haven't shown a bluff yet (table had been super gambly so I was mainly focused on fat value.) He might see me as weak tight. He's shown that he bluffed me before. Can't recall exact hand as our hours together weren't over a single session, but he either double barreled into me, or donked turn after I c-bet. Another time, he put in 80% of his stack (~150bb) and folded when I min raised AI OTR to him triple barreling me OOP. Just before hand in question, he showed surprise after I showed down A3o to win a huge pot after 3betting in BB to guy who'll open ATC in CO.

ES $805

Hero opens JJ UTG $25, V calls, BTN calls, BB calls

Flop $100

T73 rainbow

x, Hero $65, V calls, fold, call

Turn $295

6 spade draw which we don't block

x, Hero $200, V $400, fold, hero? (V has $315 left)

Is V's minraise always 2p+ here, or are there enough pair+draw, or turned draw hands he might do this with? He might realize I could fold an overpair here since I've played fairly face up, or am I leveling myself into playing into this guy's strategy : enter pots with junk and stack this nit's overs when connecting?

Its a really good spot for villain. His hand looks super strong but if hes decent he knows how strong his line looks and knows that even AA will have a real hard time calling. I think though that if youre going to be in such a bind with a min raise, then you should probably check back the turn. As played im folding but dont feel great about it

edit: just read your desciption of the guy. I hate the turn bet even more since you say hes bluffy and tricky and kinda good. I def check the turn and call pretty much anything reasonable on the river and betting if checked to.

Which card on the flop is a spade?

I really dislike the turn bet. Against a bluff player this is a great spot to check back and let him stab at the river. We have a hard time calling a turn raise but can easily call a river lead if he bets river into us, or get a second street of value on river.

As played the only draw on the flop just hit. 76 got there as well. I think I let it go.

What do you know about BB in this hand? The main villain raised with BB yet to act. If BB is calling flop wide then he isn't real dangerous on the turn, if his flop calling range is more draws then single pairs then main villain's raise with BB yet to act is stronger.

In any case I agree that checking turn against this sort of villain is better. If he is willing to bluff a large portion of his stack you are left guessing. He has both bluffs and value in his range and the ratio is villain dependent.
