V1 is a loose passive player that calls a lot and V2 is a whale.. He changes gears in big ways, some nights he'll play any two and other nights he will play snug, but he likes to see flops.

Hero has both V covered with around 900 effective.

H QJdd utg and opens to 30. 4 calls, V2 is utg1 and V1 is bb.

Flop J96 with 2 clubs. SB checks, V1 donks for 70, hero calls, V2 calls, everyone else folds.

Turn is Qc. V1 checks, H bets 180 and V2 flats, V1 folds.

River is the 5h, V2 has around 500 behind... What is our move?

Does he bluff (as in take stabs at weakness)? Will he call river w/ worse than QJ or fold better than QJ? (Doubtful.)

I probably check and evaluate depending on V's river tendencies. Not enough behind to bet/fold with the pot so big.

Why didn't you raise flop? If I'm opening QJ UTG, I probably raise here depending on your image, which is?

(Would help a lot in future if you put pot sizes on each street.)

Knowing Hero's image would help a bit.

None of that matters. Pot is 770, with top 2 vs a described whale. Sure it's thinner than you'd like w clubs on board and when 78 gets there, but it's still a value bet with lots of targets. The only question is whether there is more value in ck-c or shoving. As for hands, QTo, QK, AcJx, some lower 2pair, perhaps even JTxc might call it off, you just never know how deep the degeneracy runs.

I think I reraise on the flop. V1's bet seemed undersized. And this would help us with commitment later on in the hand. As played, I'm going to shove as stated above by several people.

We have very few to 0 bluffs and V2 has a very strong range for calling, seems like all the people advocating a shove think we can get called by AJ, AQ, KJ, JT, TT etc, that seems super thin to me. It would also help to know if the flop had the Jc.

I think the turn sizing could be larger, which would make shoving river easier against a weaker range but that's nitpicky. I would probably just bet $350 which I think is easier to call and since we aren't folding it's irrelevant if we get raised. I'm just very unsure about getting value from worse hands with a shove.

Bet bigger on the turn, rip it on the river.
