3 Flush Flops - Flopping a Set - Optimal Play?

I think yesterday was the first time I've flopped a set on a 3 flush board AND faced aggression during the hand. I'm very unsure how to optimally play these hands and whether to fold or stick around. Advice welcomed.

Villain (BB): Plays relatively tight. Raises Big pairs. Limp calls with AK, AQ, etc. type hands. Limp calls with low pocket pairs. C-bets nearly every board and gives up on turn if he doesn't have it. Will delay C-bet at times when board is dry. Seems fairly competent post-flop. I have not seen him get caught in any bluffs so far.

Hero (UTG): Tight-Aggressive player. Raise 95% of the pots I enter. Looser in late position, quite tight MP and EP. Players in this room know I'm a large winner over the months I've played there. Villain knows I'm a competent player. I c-bet about 80-85% of boards. Double barrel many turns based on the scare card and/or my actual equity in the hand.

Stacks are $350 effective. $1/$2

Hero has 88 and raises to 12 p/f. Folds to Villain in BB who calls.

Flop 854hhh (Pot ~$25)

Villain checks. I bet 20. He calls after about 10 seconds.

Turn Js (Pot ~$65)

Villain checks. I bet 35. He chk/raises to 70.
I call fairly quickly.

River Qc (Pot ~$200)

Villain bets 65.

What is optimal for Hero?
Fold? Call? (I think raising is out the question) but raise?

do you have the 8h?

he could be check raising with AhJx

call, youre getting 3:1 and i think more than 1/4 of his range for this line is bluffs with Ah or hands that he's value owning himself with Jx

Re: 3 Flush Flops - Flopping a Set - Optimal Play?

call because of his river sizing

vs many fish i would fold if he bombed the river for 3/4 pot but bc of his small sizing u have to call

also many a times here he flopped a flush as they justcall otf and then min raise turn with the k or a high flush

as played call and u played the hand tright

If he bets very big on river, I would fold. Even something like $120 on the river is probably a flush and you can get away with it.

$65 I think you have to call b/c it's so small and there's a chance he's overplaying something like a smaller set, AJ etc.

I also think there is a problem with your reads

If the guy only raises JJ+, how he ever cbetting when he doesn't have it? If he's l/c AK he should basically always have it when he raises all the time.

I can't even imagine a spot where villain as described would "delayed cbet"

I prefer limping 88utg at a full 10 handed table as opposed to 6xing it.

Not me, I probably size down pending stack depths
