2/5NL Flopped flush

2/5nl

9 handed

$700 effective

Villain- played very few hands in the hour or so i have been at the table. no hand he has played has gone to showdown. Seems to be a pretty straightforward TAG.

Hero- been very aggressive. easily viewed as a LAG if not Maniac. Winning image.

Folds to CO who opens $15. Hero calls on the button with 78. Villain in the SB calls. BB calls.

($60) A42

Villain donks $30
BB Calls
CO raises to $115
Hero?

Are you raising? if so, how much? if we get 4bet, now what?

Re: 2/5NL Flopped flush

Flat.

The flat call makes it look like you're drawing.

If a diamond misses, bet pot OTT, CO will then have to decide if you have flush or are semi-bluffing.

I don't think the 60 year old has it in him to fold here, you'll make some $$$....

If a diamond hits, bet/fold 2/3 pot.

The 60 year old isn't playing back unless he has a higher flush now....

Re: 2/5NL Flopped flush

Cutoff range is mostly drawing AxK, AxQ, possibly AA and possibly better flushes..Alot depends on what his opening range is in LP

Villain can have sets, straights, combo draws

You have position so I prefer a call here and a bet or raise on a bricked turn (they never fold to a any raise with one card to come when drawing to the nuts)

I disagree I like 3 bet on the flop here. Obviously calling it off barring some ridiculous read. Please don't slowplay. You lose so much value from sets and 2 pr hands. Also fd's that could fold on turn but would potentially get it in here...

Generally, slowplaying made baby flushes is a disaster. I think it is worth gambling here though. 4-betting the flop is going to let people get off their hands. Okay, maybe not a set, but the cutoff more likely than not has a big ace. If other villain has a set, you'll get it in w/o betting.

Flatting here will let the cutoff commit himself on the turn. (His hand will still need to be protected from FD's on that street.) Shove the turn over the top if he bets. Bet the pot if he doesn't. If another diamond comes, you can get off your hand if need be.

Tough decision. Villain might have folded two pairs or sets to your 3-bet. With 2.5-1 odds I think you need to call. IMO, tight players are just as likely if not more to overplay their big hands post-flop.

I would 3-bet small and fold to a shove.

Oh, I didn't see this before replying, so yeah, fold. I can't see the villain shoving here into two people who each have raised with anything less than a flush. I definitely disagree with whoever said it's a tough spot, it's not, it's an easy fold, and it's not even close.
