I still think a shove on the turn woulda been the right play, but I doubt V was going anywhere w/ top 2.

lol yeah, and if they get it in on turn they probably run it 3x. makes it sting even more.

Shove on the turn. I'm not sure what calling the turn is really gaining us here. Everybody at the table has to figure us for a minor "made" hand. We are not on a draw. If the V is as strong as AQ+, then we are getting a call here almost every time (particularly if there was a c/r on the flop as noted later in the post).
If the turn was called, then we have to B/C $300. If you replay this hand a 100 times, checking back is losing you insane money.
As played, I'm instantly calling the shove. Even after seeing the A7, I'm grateful that I got all of the money in the pot.
The V's check on the river was pretty awful. Most of the time, you are throwing money away. We have a full house and most of the people above are advocating checking back.
