Villain (SB): mid to late 20s white guy, TAG (covers)
Hero (CO): mid 20s Asian, TAG image ($900)

Hero opens $15 with AQ. Villain makes it $50. Hero calls.

Flop: K73 ($101)

Villain checks. Hero bets $60. Villain calls.

Turn: 9 ($221)

Checked through.

River: A ($221)

Villain quickly checks.

Obviously have to go for thin value here. Unless he's trappy which I haven't seen evidence of so far, I've gotta be good here. Problem is I don't think he's calling much. It's not like he's gonna x/c AJ on the flop. Maybe a weak king, QQ - TT or 7x. Not afraid of a x/r cause only hand I would be afraid of is Kxcc. How much to size?

Also barrel turn again cause I block AK/AA? Definitely would be over-bluffing but I'm not sure if it's a good exploitative play vs the general 2/5 TAG population on this type of run out. And if he calls should I fire river for thin value in a big pot?

4bf pre

as played it's really villain dependent (how many times does he 3bet? What's his range? Does he 3bet light? etc), there are AK's in his 3bet range, not so many flushes.

Villain is never...i mean literally never...checking that flop to fold.

Nope. Do not bet river. He's never calling with worse (or shouldn't be).

So the flop bet is pretty pointless Imo, just check it through...
River is the most obvious b/f spot you are ever likely to find. Bet around 120 Imo..... If we have better reads on villan and feel like he can put us on a polarised range this could be a perfect spot to merge our range and bomb this river, really doubt villan has played a flush this way.... In game I probably make it 120, but as I say against a good reg I think a river bomb could be a really good play.

So, you are bombing river for thin value?

How is this thin value? You have top pair top kicker in a 3bet pot and can get a second street of value

How is it not my problem? The whole point of a value bet is getting worse hands to call. Are you seriously advocating value betting the river solely because "lololol TPTK in a 3 bet pot"?

3bet LP heads up pot where v checked 3 times post?...yeah you can bet the river vs any villain..basically beat by nothin

I guess once again you are asking a question to get the response you want so check it back and show down.

I think you can bet 100% of rivers as a bluff anyway. Cant think of a single river you cant bet when u take this line. If he is calling as tight as you give him credit for bet all rivers

Better yet, bet all turns

In fact i prob would have bet turn if i bet flop

You calling me out on something? You've posted a TON of trash in this forum that doesn't make ANY sense and reeks of trolling and you wanna call ME out?

How is he calling with any worse Ax? Is he gonna x/c AJ on this flop?

I don't understand the river bomb here, but b/f has a lot going for it. OP played this hand like a big ace. It's easy to imagine that villain has a huge hand and whiffed on a turn x/r and now hopes to x/r river.

But it seems equally likely that with a light 3bet he now has a marginal hand tho he could have 2p or a flush.

I dunno, seems close to me between b/f and checking behind. Definitely can't call a raise tho.

Underpair (QQ?) hoping for a cheap showdown? I guess QQ could bet but you've already got one of the overcards on the board so trying to fold out overcard draws doesn't have much appeal but you could easily be best and don't want to get raised off your hand.

I guess you are implying it could either be a huge hand slowplaying or a marginal hand hoping to keep the pot small? Or would you narrow it down to one or the other?
