$500 eff. V is a young, competent TAG OTB. Folds around to him. He makes it $20, SB folds, I call.

Flop: J63r Pot ~ $40

A) You, why and please provide a plan for future streets.
B) Do you think 3-betting pre would be better than calling?

Against a TAG otb in this situation, I'm typically calling pre, knowing I'm likely ahead of his range, and he'll likely cbet. Raising usually folds out worse hands.

On flop, I'm c/c, and will eval/likely continue to c/c as he potentially values himself. If like many tags, v will bet flop and turn, check river, giving you a chance to bet river for value or simply c/c based on reads.

Any other reads on V besides TAG? If he's really a competent TAG I assume you think he folds worse hands if you show aggression? My play in these cases is typically to let them own themselves, with semi-pot control just in case they're at the top of their range.

Is he stealing the blinds light? If not, fold. If he is, 3bet to collect the folded money. You should have no desire to play the classic dominated hand oop without initiative. FWIW, if he's raising the top 30% of hands, you're behind his range. He'll fold a lot of it.

Now you have TPGK. If he can't beat TP, you're going to collect at best 1 bet. If he can, he's going to chauffeur you to value town.

C/c three times if you have an image that can fold and he is capable of firing multiple bullets Check call once and reeval turn if he keeps betting and thinks you are a station

I'd 3bet as a default if you're comfortable in 3bet pots. Make it 65. You'll take it down a lot pre and most Tags will fold to your cbets unless they smack the flop in 3bet flops.

The problem with flatting is that you basically hit the best possible flop for your hand and you are still unsure what to do.

As played I'd c/c, planning to c/c all three streets. If he checks back turn just fire half pot on the river for value.
