1/3 with TT

so im typcially a 1/2 but have been playing much better lately and ran up about 2k in the last 2 weeks so thought id jump into the much larger 1/3 at my local casino. buy is $100-500. was up to about 450 from 200+ at this point.

Villian: havent played with him before but he is a dealer who sits and plays after work. plays straight forward for the most part not making too many plays but have found that many suited connectors (IP and OOP) as low as 64, 54..

Hero: had been playing fairly TAG (my guess) but most likely looked at as more of a LAG due to gettin some cards and raising consecutive pots at several different times.

Action

1 limper from dumbass limit player waiting to get onto 4/8 (lol). i have 1010 in CO and i make it 15 which was standard. 12-18 was normal.

BB calls, limpers folds. HU pot.

$33: 876
V leads for 15. At this point im thinking that this a flop that hits his range pretty solid but i did think i was ahead. Appropriate raising spot? Ever flat/muck?

Re: 1/3 with TT

Flatting is ok if he's tight, raising seems like it wouldn't get much more money if V is the kind who plays straightforward and gets away from 1 pair hands quickly.

However, I might raise for a couple reasons...
1. Most players don't like to get away from draws - and that board is SUPER drawy, V could have 98 or something and figure he has to call because you must have a big hand that will pay him if he hits.

2. To find out if I am beat, we have an overpair with a draw to the virtual nuts (T hi straight), but we likely wont get paid off if we hit. So if he has two pair right now, i don't want to just call and be guessing if he bets the turn, with 2 pr + he will re-raise and you can easily fold. If he calls you are likely ahead and can get more money by playing well on turn and river.

So I think this spot comes down to V's tendencies and my feelings as to what type of player he is. You probably don't have a ton of reads but if he seems very tight then I just call, if he seems like he will chase (which is actually more likely now that I think about it since he plays 64 and 54) then I raise.

IMO a lot of dealers are gamboool types and will make quite a bit of moves since they think they can outplay and read everyone at the table since they watch people play during work all day/night. I vote for a raise here of $45 and see what he does...

My plan would be to bet most safe turns ($75-95) if he checks and then check back river if we get there unimproved.

i feel like this is a check behind/fold, ya?

Re: 1/3 with TT

I don't mind flatting a flop and turn but given that he likes his SC's I don't mind raising since he could easily have a combo here and is leading out to prevent you from hitting an over for him if you decide to check behind and not c-bet, because this is a bad board to c-bet with air given his range hits the board hard. Moving on, that he just flatted your raise on the flop I wouldn't put him on two pair here if it's really possible you have an overpair, so it's more likely that he has a set or a combo. I don't mind checking behind the turn and possibly a soulread/call on a blank river
