My original table breaks and I move to my new one and get seated two seats to the left of a MAGWEP-type that has $2k+ in front of him; I'm told he had just taken several hundred off someone else in a straight over straight pot. Important to note that I do not perceive him to be a good player, combined with his ridiculous stack, I'm much more willing to play against him than against the rest of the table. I play 2 significant hands with this guy, one about 30 minutes after the other.
I get involved with villain (eff stack $400) when he limps his button and I check my option with 3

. 5 to the flop, $15 in the middle. Flop is 5

. Checks to villain who bets $10, seeing that those behind me are turbo-mucking, I float intending to check-raise the turn. Turn is the 9
, I check, he bets $30 and I follow through with my plan to raise. I make it just $60, trying to appear to want a call. He ponders for a few seconds and calls. Something about his body language struck me as extremely weak here; I also think any strong made hand like a 5 or overpair (unlikely given PF limp) probably bets bigger and then definitely comes over the top of my raise to get it in before the board gets even scarier. I can't really figure out what he has after he calls here. I'd be curious on people's thoughts. River brings an offsuit 7; with no showdown value and an opponent I sense as weak I lead out for $100 into the $155. I think I am definitely much more likely than he is to have a boat here given the action, he thinks for a short while and folds. After a little "good for the game" needling from the table, I show it; I was intending to tighten up and make my life easier anyhow, so I figured I may as well get some nutcase credit from the table at the same time. Yes, before we go down this rabbit hole, obviously wanting to show it played a role, but it wasn't the ONLY factor. (I am a tourist and definitively on the "serious-ish rec" side of things as opposed to "pro"). I legitimately had other reasons as well. This is relevant to the next hand in that my (probably well-earned, if I'm being honest) image to the rest of the table, including villain, is that I'm an absolute nutball. He also picked me off bluffing in a <$75 pot on the river between these two bigger hands.
This sets up the next big hand we play together, effective stack (mine) is about $675 when villain raises to $10 from the HJ, I call from the button with A

and 3 others including both blinds come along. Flop comes A

. Checked to villain who bets $25. Myself and an older lady in Seat 1 call. Turn is black and an absolute brick, I don't even remember the card, obviously it was offsuit, not a 6 and not broadway. Lady checks, villain insta-fires $100 into the $125 pot, much quicker than either of his decisions in the previous hand. Again I glance to my left and the lady has basically folded out of turn, so we are heads-up. I've got about $645 behind at this point. Thoughts on what we do here?
