Effective stacks preflop ~475. Saturday afternoon game.

Villain: MAWG, recreational. Fairly chatty, and plays a lot of hands. On the loose side and chases draws. Showed down 1 hand a little earlier where he was frustrated he didn't get more money on the river with flop quads after he slowplayed flop/turn.

Hero: Mid 20s WG, fairly active up to this point. More on the winning image side but nothing crazy. Sitting on $700 stack.

OTTH:

Villain raises UTG to $10. Hero calls with 99 Two callers behind and 4 to the flop.

Flop ($40): Q97

Villain checks, Hero bets $35. The two others fold, Villain calls.

Turn ($110): 6

Villain checks, Hero bets $80, villain shoves AI for $430. Hero ???

I think everything is pretty standard on Hero's part up until the turn AI decision... Thoughts?

Well played till now... call AINEC. Only hand I'm worried about is QQ since you said V slowplayed before, but that was quads. T8 seems very unlikely with the UTG raise.

Sounds good! I did snap call and was wondering if it was any closer than I had thought it was at the table. Of course results oriented thinking in the end (Villain had T8) but wanted to make sure...

Would V even open T8 from UTG? Vs who vpip high tend to limp hands like that.

Think it's a snap call, sucks if you lost. Feel like he has a lot of Axhh here too

This could be overplayed AA/KK 4x as much as it could be overplayed QQ. We only need 36% equity, which I don't have an equity calculator in front of me, but I'm pretty sure the 4th nuts is gonna have that a lot OTT

I'm cool with preflop.

I'd bet slightly more on the flop but whatever.

Anything to make of the very small UTG raise to $10? This is a very small raise in my game and is mostly just a juicer raise, so sorta unlikely it would be QQ. Doubt 66 sees the turn. T8 certainly could be juiced, as could 77. Although you'd think 77 would put more money in on the flop on this drawy board (although sometimes people wait for safe turns to do this, although checking OOP is pretty risky). Are your opponents aggro enough to punt off fairly largish $475 stacks by semi-bluffing JThh?

I'd probably sigh call but I don't feel awesome about it, but that's just kinda the way my game plays postflop (i.e. when big stacks go in, it's typically a big hand over big hand, and we beat very few combos of big hands, unless this guy is capable of making big moves or FPS).

ETA: I think this is far closer to a sigh call (or *perhaps* even an incredible hero fold, although I'm not good enough) than a snap call. But I guess everyone's game is different. If you're sitting in a game where someone is raising AA/KK/etc. to lol $10 preflop and going multiway and getting in 160 bbs postflop to this betting, we play in very different games.

I'm with GG on this one, I don't think I ever find the fold button but I don't think it's even close to a snap call.

Does anyone like a 3b pre for value/to iso the guy playing too many hands and chasing draws?
