@Dutch, I am fine with $12 pre, all games are different, I am fine with a 3 way pot on the button with QQ, if there were more limpers i would raise more but you don't want to raise to $15 and win $5 with QQ, i look to raise the maximum that will get me some action but not a 6 way pot, some tables that's $10 some it's $20.
I call his turn ship but don't love it.
I hear ya on pre. $12 sometimes gets no action. That we are button might mean we can raise a little bigger bc it looks a little more like a steal.
But, $10-20, probably same thing depending on table dynamic. Pre is prolly fine. I like a little bigger but that's not really going to change much here.
I think the flat call OTF my real concern. I can put V on 43s, 76s, 85s, 64s, all Axhh and a few others hands, too. Lots of pair/gutter/flush draw type hands.
Dirty hands that crack over pairs. And I not likely to fold this hand, at these stacks. So I don't love just flat calling, letting him get there, and then putting in money behind.
I'm not raising flop bc I'm scared to play poker in position. I'm raising bc we're likely ahead and should go for value here while we're ahead. Board is sloppy and V could have a wide range.
