Hero ($240) (CO): Tight aggressive player, has won his fair share of hands, but has not been showing down a lot. More than one player at the table has called hero out on bluffing numerous pots, even though hero has only bluffed once in the first hour of play.
Villain ($215) (SB): Loose aggressive player. Plays the hell out of top pair, even with a weak kicker, tends to be a pay off wizard, usually loses a lot of money.
With two limpers, hero raises it to $13 with K Q. Villain calls and the two limpers call. Pre flop pot: ($54)
Flop: A K K. Action is checked to hero who bets $25. Villain calls and the other two players fold. Flop pot: ($104)
Definitely bet the turn. You can't check down trips just because a flush came in when there are tons of other hands in V's range. One of the most common leaks at LLSNL is not value betting when you have the best hand.
Unless he has AJ specifically he's probably calling hoping to chop. If he's as bad as you say he is, then bet as much as you think he'd call hoping to win half the pot.
I think you would've found out by now if you were behind. Since he called a turn bet, and the river is the blankest blanks you might as well bet.
Sounds like I sure messed up on not betting the river. Going forward I will certainly bet the river. I thought that there was a decent chance he hit his flush, because he usually folds to a bet when a flush is turned or rivered, so his call on the turn made me very cautious of him having a flush, and his long ponder before checking the river made me think he was seriously considering a bet, but would check and go for the check-raise that I would have no choice but to call.
I did not realize that I botched it that bad, but that's why I love this website so much, because I learn so much from the community and use it going forward. I have grown so much as a poker player just through the few posts I have made and the short time I have been on here.
