1/2 limping and calling raises pre flop. 1/2 limping and calling raises pre flop.

This is just a general question. I've been noticing more players doing this in 1/2 NL. at the casino. They constantly limp in and then call big pre flop raises. Casino's where I play let you buy in for 300 on 1/2. The average raise is 10 on most tables.

example: 4 limpers, I'm on the button or cut off with something like QJ,Q10,Kj,K10 avg holdings. I used to raise 12 to 15 pre and pick up lots of small pots or get 1 caller and then use position to out play a high % of the pots. The play was very profitable. Now I notice that 2,3 and sometimes 4 of these players are calling pre flop. Should I stop trying to make this play or just increase the size of the raise pre flop ? I would love any ideas on picking up small pots with position and adjustments that you make against these type of tables.
thanks,

That is.why poker is profitable. Overestimating implied odds.

you adjust by not bluffing into 4 people. Nothing wrong with playing a good hand in position. Just don't cbet if you get 4 people and you don't hit.

You can still raise, just quit c-betting multiway so much.

-implied odds

-size your raises bigger if it keeps going multiway

-size your small-mid PP smaller vs these players

-play the power of position

-remember PP's x 10 raise amount = effective stacks needed for profitable call, SC's x 20, Suited gappers x 30

-do not over estimate implied odds vs villains

-target the fish, notice pre-flop mistakes they are making (over-calling, raise sizing), post flop mistakes (overplaying hands, overcalling, missing value, etc..)

-Bet thinly (if you are not losing some thin value river bets, you are not betting thinly enough)

-Quit playing garbage hands OOP and even IP

-Tighten up vs loosen
