Villain ($300) MP2: Recently moved from another table, been at the table for less than 15 hands. Villain has only had one hand go to showdown where he called a $20 raise pre flop from MP2 with 46o and flopped trip 4s. Appears to be a very loose player.
Hero ($240) BTN.
Three limpers in the pot when it comes around to hero on the BTN who looks up to K

Turn comes 4:spade. Villain hesitates for a second before checking and hero checks.

Should I have fired a second barrel on the turn? The reason I chose to check is because I just saw this player call a $20 raise from the same exact position earlier and thought it was very possible that he had either a 3 or an 8.
Lastly, was my $16 raise pre flop too light? Thank you in advance for the feedback!
