A pf question, trying to get a sense of the forum.
UTG is a predictable old nit. SB is a lunatic who's been opening w/ any 2 all session. BB is almost the same. They each spew nearly equally badly.
UTG opens. His hand is face up, imo: AA, KK, QQ, nothing else. Folded to you OTB w/ Q J . The blinds are almost certain to call whether or not you call. Call or fold?

Super easy fold. Easy to analyze equity against exactly QQ+ and two guys playing ATC, which is 15.9%. And I don't think the implied odds of a straight or flush justifies cc'ing in this spot.

If he's really that tight super duper easy fold. Like, if putting in hands that DOMINATE you preflop would help your equity, you need to fold.

Yea, srsly. I know what he has, can get away from my hand easily but, most importantly, the blinds will dump chips as if their arteries were opened.

Are they really going to get into a raising war with you in the off-chance you spike two J's, two Q's, three clubs, or AKT, even if they have air? If you literally have implied odds as big as their stacks in play, then maybe if you spike my water with bath salts and hold my mother at gunpoint simultaneously, I'd say its okay to c2c.

You should see these 2 in action. But, apparently, I made a boo-boo.

Re: A pf question, trying to get a sense of the forum.
i would instcall a reasonably sized raise in NL if i was 300 big blinds deep, even if UTG showed AA face up, fwiw.

If the preflop raisers range is that tight, I would fold. Your hand is dominated.

The point is that I'm going to win a BIG pot if I make my hand and I know where I stand.

The problem, HB, is that you're gonna win that big pot about 16% of the time, but you're gonna put in 25% of the money to do it.

I fold this without really thinking about it.

Yeah pretty much a straightforward math question.
