The next few hundred posts after this one are bound to have little or no content about the poker.

I'm getting a little tired of posters coming in and saying "Hey I played 3 hands of poker and won. Am I a lifetime winner and is my sample size big enough? Are the responses telling me no? Meh, I don't care. 3 hands is a very meaningful sample size to me."

No one in my group was able to limit out. California drought, indeed.

Playing head-up in the forced-move game. Villain seems to have a clue.

I open on the button with AJ. Villain 3! BB, I call. 6 small bets in pot.

Flop 532

Villain bets, I call. 4 big bets in pot.

Turn: 532 4

Villain bets, I call. I'm thinking we're chopping at best, and the villain might be freerolling. 6 bets in pot.

River: 5324 6

Villain bets, I instacall, saying "Seven good." as I fastroll my hand.

Villain looks crestfallen. They move to muck. Without thinking, I say, "Board, board, board, board, board...." They stop, open their hand, QJ, and the dealer splits the pot.

Is there a street on which I didn't make a mistake? Including sixth street?

The river is fine given the turn. Sixth street is fine too.

Agreed. If playing full and didn't have enough time to both realize he was mucking split and point it out to him, maybe give something back, Im not sure. But HU you did nice thing and I can almost guarantee you wont lose money ev bc the guy will never forget it and subconsciously take it easier in spots where he would normally push if playing for his life. 6th street really was a win/win.

The pool volleyball game yesterday afternoon between teams "sharkdapussy" and another team whose name I can't remember was so epic that it rendered me single.

I'm going to guess 85. Obviously, 4's were hot, which is why he played 42 and A4. Also, you can't fold any hands where one of the cards has a picture, because picture cards can make big hands. And obviously, you never fold a pair because it is hard to make a pair and if you are starting out with a pair, that's great. So it has to be 2 other cards, and I'll randomly guess he knew that 5's and 8's were cold and thus not very likely to come out on the flop. But I wasn't at the table, so I don't know which cards were hot and which were cold - that's where your read is important.

That reminds me; the other day I open raised UTG and was called by the guy just on my left with the 85o. By the turn he had made a full house. How did he know?

The only thing that matters is the flop. If you don't see the flop, you can't win. "You have to be in it to win it."

He lit one dollar on fire. I think HammerinHank explained that we were giving up $0.25 a pass on the $10 craps, so maybe he played pass lines at the craps table. Any $ figures I give at the table games should certainly be ignored due to being wrong, tho.

Not sure if that's a GIF or not but I'd bet money that the dollar bill has been soaked in isopropanol or some other substance which gives a really cold flame. It's a chemistry trick to make things look like they're on fire without actually burning it.

Should have done it with a hundred then. Who cares if you burn a one?
