January-May: Broke even at 4-8 mostly.

June: Pretty much broke and tired of the 4-8 game, decided to take whatever I could scrounge together to play $1,500 LHE event (sold off 40%). Cashed for 4.2k, bankroll = 2.5k

July: Break even at 8-16

August 11: Binked daily tournament for 3.2k

August 11 - end of year: Started taking shots at 20-40, selling off half my action, ran like God, and eventually started taking 100% of myself. Started occasionally taking 40-80 shots with a backer, ran even better. Start playing OE which I think I am not good at, but somehow others are actually worse, continued to run good. Somewhere in there, I got a hug from ILikeRocks.

Dec 31st: Bankroll up to 17k after taking out 11k or so for life expenses

Later Dec 31st: We're down to 15k. Happy New Year! I get my first side hug from OTR15 just after midnight.

2015 outlook: There is some possibility that my disputed full tilt claim will finally be paid out. Also, my wife is pregnant with our second child and due in August! Should be an interesting year

Bravos takes all the money. I think you took a ton of it last year too?

I ended up in the black for my second year in a row, and for the first time in my life I am a net winner as a poker player. The biggest thing that I improved upon was my mental game. I have some really bad tilt/anger issues, but I've got those largely under control now. Its made poker more enjoyable for me overall, and has improved my C or D game immensely. Shout out to those who have helped me alog the way.

I also went to China 5 times.

ETA: CrazLond winning so far! Congrats on everything.

Being breakeven at 4-8 is an achievement all in itself. What did you place in the Lhe event and how big was the field?

Congrats on everything, man.

You just started taking shots at 20 this year? Surprising, from what I've seen you say, I'd assume you would've been beating it for a little while now.

Aren't you playing mostly LOLRaketraps too?

Everyone just be sure to remember that you suck if you make less than exactly 1 BB/hr. And you are a liar if you make more than exactly 1 BB/hr. Sample size is irrelevant.

I have played it on a few occasions over the years but this is the first time I've had the opportunity to play it as a regular game.

I think I'm stuck 2 grand for the year. What is that, two sessions of 10/20 and two sessions of 20/40? Was I the only craps winner or did a couple of you guys have comebacks?

I think that's the rule at the side window.

If only the side window is open, I'm not sure, but usually I don't use the side window unless someone waves me over.

^^ This was at one of the two front windows. The side window was closed, as was the other front window.

That would definitely be considered weird in SoCal. Normal protocol is either casino employees wait their turn at main cashier or even let customers go first.

Only played 410 hours in 2013 and almost all of it was in the first 1/2 of the year as I got super swamped at work on 2 new projects. All of it was in 6/12.

I should specify, it's Oaks, not one of the other clubs. Oaks has always had a hole in the customer service area. Also, I should specify that it wasn't any of the poker dealers. (They all know me, and know that I'm a good tipper; I've never had a problem with service from the poker dealers). This dealer was from the Asian games side.

Also, it wasn't exactly the crime of the century. I just thought it odd. I've never seen a business do so little in the way of pleasing their customers.

Wow going to China 5x is awesome, maybe that Eastern way of life helped with tilt. My friend just got back after 3 years (mostly in Shanghai) and I was surprised at how much "fun" the country was.

Garden city had a special employee window. One day I cashed out 1500 and the girl tried to give me 15k....I said "you sure" and she turned bright red

Haha, that was mine last year. I was aiming for 200 hours max. Mostly successful. 404 bets in 359 hours. lolsamplesize. Looks like it may be even less this year. Unless I do something stupid. First time I play this year will probably be in February.

Happy New Year's everyone. I'm at home with 2 kids and a wife and we all have the worst flu ever, but glad to hear the rest of y'all are doing well. I guess lying in bed all day watching football is not the worst thing, but I'm only now starting to feel semi-OK after taking a bunch of Advil.

A lot of my good friends from 2+2 had a rough '14, so here's hoping to a much improved 2015. Stay safe everyone and focus on the important things in life.

GOGOGOGO '15. Can't believe this decade is half over.

I'll be playing a lot more 20 this year, but I've been really enjoying poker again a lot more and I think a part of it is just being able to walk in, have a bite to eat and play a few hours of poker 100% stress free. I have plenty enough stress at work and I just want my hobbies to remain as enjoyable as possible.

Kind of puts me in my place to realize my cluster **** of a year barely gets on the podium among your like top 5 poker friends.
